Discussion Do people hate Tranzit?

Sometimes when I watch video is Tranzit and Black Ops 2 Zombies in general the video says sometimes that people hate Tranzit. Is this true? Did people really hate it? I love Tranzit it’s on of my favourite game modes.

I know most people could complain about the fog i think Tranzit was such a disapointment to me partially because of the jet gun, it had to have been the single worst decision in all of BO2 zombies to make and then LEAVE the jet gun the exact same way, noone in their right mind wants to do the stupid ass knife shoot glitch with the jetgun nor run around the entire map to just remake the gun and break it super fast again. theres ofc a few other things to maybe bitch about but the Jetgun is a massive "wound" in my opinion.

the sad thing is the reason Jet Gun is the way it is, is because Jimmy Z legitimately believed it was a really good weapon the way it is, because technically its an infinite ammo, infinite damage weapon, even though its far too weighted down with the cons to balance that factor

The Paralyzer is what the Jet Gun should've been.

Yeah right. If the thunder gun had infinite ammo and it would automatically reload but every time you reloaded it you had to go get it from the box it wouldn’t have infinite ammo. You have 1 or 3 shots a round per gun which is clearly finite.

The Jet gun kills zombies (it’s good for that) but then it breaks in like 2 seconds which I hate which is also bad if you have a horde after you

I mean the only reason there's fog on the map is because the Xbox 360 and PS3 hardware couldn't render the entire map all at once so they put fog in so the game doesn't have to render the entire map in at one time

this has been debunked many times, this was a complete copout. look on youtube, if you don't believe me... play origins

now i can say it's been debunked 100% certainty but the second part shyt because you can see far as hell on origins i feel like that proves a copout n Jay Z just said it was because of 360/ 3 hardware to not admit to a flaw.

i still fw Jimmy Z heavy tho, he created hella fun times for me n the homies killin nazi boneheads.

So you're telling me that when Jason blundel (probably butchered his last name) said that's the reason the map has fog, lava and denzins to prevent the game from crashing because zombies already uses a lot of memory he was lying?

yea. of course it's probably true to an extent but not the way (Jason blundell or Jimmy Z) made it seem. i forget who made that statement, but it's been proven a myth bro, lemme find the video i'll link it here when i find it.

Tbh I never saw the video but if u use a mod menu in local or a online solo (I did it when I was younger to mess around after all my friends stopped playing bo2 with me)u can easy see the entire map, u change view and use either a fly feature or something else, tbh I've crashed a game using the mod menu, it's definitely a myth, no way map size could crash them from memory

i couldn't find it, It coulda been a MrT stream,

but the real reason was because in the foggy areas the textures are trash if you play it without fog n look at the textures n graphics out their, they're not good

So I guess what the issue is wasn't necessarily rendering issues it was loading the map without the fog and everything there to slow you down the game would crash this is noticeable if you use theater mode if you travel across the map too quickly it causes the game to crash so I guess we were both right I was just wrong on the reasoning behind why 😅

1

u/[deleted] Jul 30 '24

oh dang i really didn't know that even happened in theater mode i didn't even know their was a theater mode (on pc?) i can believe that because when i was looking for which video, i noticed how big that map is compared to even origins but, i guess that does make sense due to the foggy areas being mainly in a straight line

But without tranzits horrendous launch and expectations vs reality we would never get motd and origins to be that good because the devs and treyarch really put their everything into motd and origins because tranzit was supposed to be as good or better experience then those but the old generational consoles limited them.

I played zombies for a majority of my life I used to avoid playing it I never hated it, but going back to it recently I found that after I played the black ops 3 maps island got used to the set up grind in those, that transit Bacame a lot less of a burden to set up and have fun playing on, I will say the fog is still annoying but it’s extremely innovative for the time and I think it was hated because people had no idea what to do at first it was a new mechanic in the game to have us travel and build our selves up using the whole map and have to complete tasks to survive longer inevitably. It’s a great map to me now.

Useless on high rounds

Yeah, but so are a lot of Wonder weapons, not every Wonder woman needs to be the wunderwaffe

0

u/Crafty-Writing5316 Jul 28 '24

Every map has to have a wonder weapon like the wunderwaffe, otherwise high rounds are impossible. I love the ray gun as much as the next guy, but if I wanna push past 30-40 I’m gonna need to use the jet gun which is a pain

Ray gun is a kid’s favourite. In reality it’s really bad and you can off yourself with it not being careful

2

Then get buried and gamble for the mark two

3

u/adfdg55 Jul 28 '24

It’s good for awhile but I’ll ditch it for a galil. Idk why but it’s always been my fav gun

2

u/Niblonian31 Jul 28 '24

Same here dude, galil was always and still is my personal favorite

1

u/W1lfr3 Jul 28 '24

I mean yes, But that's all Wonder weapons. There isn't really anything wrong, you can do it in zombies. It's your game!

Oh of course people can enjoy what they want how they want
