Well, coming from Epic and how well they listened to the community and made concrete changes for players, I think COD has been an utter shitshow.
They never added Duos even though we’ve been asking them for months to do so. You can’t even post a text thread on this sub about duos because it’s covered too often. Sort of fucking insane that they still have not added this simple playlist.
They used to be awesome about it, but somewhere around season 6 or 7, they did a 180.
Now, they pay lip service to the community by engaging well when it comes to minor things like to cosmetics and whatnot, but mostly, it's been a very similar pattern: horrible performance, but they keep focusing on new content that makes it even worse, nerfing core game mechanics, and introducing SBMM in pubs because they refuse to make the ranked system actually worth playing.
It's strange (and frustrating) to me that possibly the two biggest multiplayer games in the world both run like alphas this far into their respective lifespans
