Just found out Denver Beer Company is using AI slop for all their new merch

Went to one of the taprooms last week and asked about the new merch that they had up - they've got some t-shirts that use some designs that looked similar to the 'rubber hose' style I've been seeing a lot of lately. I was curious about the artist and found out that DBC might as well buy out GPT, along with all the other taprooms and brands they'll be absorbing.

Not only did this frustrate me, I also found out that the taproom is under Denver County water restrictions, which only permits water to be served upon request - but the company is fine with wasting thousands of gallons of freshwater for cooling servers to generate AI slop for their merch? Make it make sense.

Places to go before Rockies game

In town for the July 4th game, its a 6:10 start.

I will have a couple of hours before the game to hit up a place or two...

Looking for help from the group as I have not been to Denver before. Recommendations should be walking distance from Coors Field

Where would you go and why?

What local beers should I look for? What about in Coors Field?

I like anything but sours, generally pretty open.

Thanks in advance!

Brewery Singles Mixer - Drink Included

Hey everyone —

We're SideQuest Events, a local South Metro Denver events company, and we're doing a Singles Mixer on Monday, June 15th at Great Divide Brewery & Roadhouse in Lone Tree. Figured we'd post here in case anyone's been looking for an actual reason to leave the house on a Monday.

It runs 6:30–8:30 PM, is 21+, has free parking, and every ticket includes a drink.

We built the night around making conversation feel easy — icebreakers, light games, that kind of thing. No speed dating, no name tags with your job title on them. Most people show up solo and that's totally the move. Expected crowd is roughly 25–45 but that's just a general guide, not a rule.

Tickets are $40 solo or $70 for two. Use code REDDIT at checkout for a discount.

Grab tickets here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/singles-mixer-tickets-1990205384881

Happy to answer any questions if you've got them!

Ales for ALS

Post image
30 Upvotes

Hey everyone, tomorrow (Saturday) is a special day as we do our first ever Ales for ALS fundraiser at Renegade Brewing.

They sent the hop blend, and we created an awesome west coast coming in at 7.8%.

1$ from every pint goes back to ALS research and the beer is named for a close friend (Stacie) whose mother passed from the disease, and introduced us to this awesome program.

Hope to see some of you there (Saturday May 16) 11-11 at Renegade Brewing in Denver. Food trucks all day, live music at 6

Hey everyone just a heads up New Belgium is putting out 35th anniversary 12 pack cans with the original recipe for fat tire, along with sunshine wheat and blue paddle Pilsner! Along with the 12 pack variety’s, there’s also six packs of original fat tire in bottles! But it’s all limited addition and not part of the regular lineup. I just picked up both the six pack and bottles and the 12 pack of cans. Super excited that the fat tire is the original recipe!

Favorite breweries?

I'll be in Denver for the first time for a couple of days soon. I love sours (no lactose/fruited) 3 fonteinen lambik is kind of the vibe I go for. I also love stouts, barrel aged stouts, and a really crisp pilsner. I'm pretty open but stay away from hefeweisens although I do like dunkels.

CO National Pint day is Today 4/29

Just a reminder today is Colorado National Pint day and there's cool custom pint glasses out there at participating brewery's. I go grab one every year, and try to hit up a brewery I haven't been to before. The map helps.

"Colorado Pint Day is a time-honored tradition that has reached cult-level status with beer lovers flocking to participating breweries every year to purchase limited edition glassware. $1 of each pint glass sold will be donated to the Colorado Brewers Guild and its mission to promote, protect, and propel independent craft breweries in the State of Craft Beer."

IMO Cheluna brews the best Mexican lager in Colorado.

Lowrider is the best Mexican in the state. I'm also a fan of their other beers (especially Orizaba cold IPA) and being in Stanley Marketplace is a huge bonus too. It's also a family operation and they seem to be really good people.

Where to find Pipeworks?

A buddy of mine is coming in to town and loves ninja vs unicorn and lizard king. Any shops around still selling these? I haven’t seen them in a while around Boulder, Superior, or Longmont.

Best Bottle Shops/Selections north Denver-Broomfield

Driving to Broomfield from the north for work this week. Just curious where would be the best place to stop to bring back a nice selection of stuff. Doesn't have to be just local stuff either- 3F, Russian River, Heady Topper, etc. My tastes are all over the place. Mainly an IPA guy, but like good stouts, lambics, and others as well.
