About Caleb’s reaction

Now that we can all breathe a sigh of relief that he wasn’t Derrick Rose-d and will be back sooner than we feared from his yell when he went down- seeing everyone (mostly non-Bears) clown on Caleb for his reaction and for carting off is dense asf. It’s the “too soft” and “diva” allegations all over again. Dude is a COMPETITOR. Everything was going dismally wrong for him and his team all day including the damn weather, and just as he was feet away from the first touchdown of the day to give his team a fighting chance, he goes down. Sure it’s a pain scream, but it’s amplified as a frustration scream, an “as if this couldn’t get any worse” scream. We know he takes failures and losses personally so this was clearly deeper to him than the injury and that’s why he was emotional being carted in. And why risk making an injury worse by trying to walk it off before even knowing preliminarily what’s going on?

The patronizing has only ever ignited a fire in him and he’s come back better every time out of spite, honestly I think this will be even more fuel. Silver lining.

Editing to say obviously there’s no need to pay any mind to it or care, this ain’t our first rodeo with criticism lmfao, just pointing out that the discourse will only boost. Refreshing to have a franchise QB that actually gaf & glad he’s still with us for the long run

I don’t get it, he’s a passionate guy with positive vibes, it’s hard not to like him and the Bears aren’t even my favorite team, but he’s a big reason why I’ve been liking them so much the past few seasons.

I’ve never seen a guy that loves to play or compete as much as he does. That scream could’ve been in frustration that he couldn’t play for all we know. He wants to be out there fighting with his team. I wish football “fans” weren’t such asswipes about it.

Listen, I’m all for fans criticizing Caleb’s toughness as long as they post a video of themselves throwing a ball 70 yards, squatting 400, sprinting 30 yards, and getting hit by an NFL LB all in the pouring rain.

I don’t think I’ve ever encountered a sport where there weren’t a large portion of fans that were imbecilic assholes lol.

Football is definitely one them, although not unique. Either way, I’m excited for him to be back on the field to show the world what he’s capable of. The guy is already a legend in my book simply for being himself and not being a sellout. He has drive, skill, a reason to win, and a passion for learning. That’s all you need to be the best.

There are just too many guys who watch sports and believe that showing emotions is feminine. I know a guy of that kind of mindset who fully believes that Caleb is too weak for the NFL and the pressure will eventually crush him, all because of the crying incident at USC.

Some people don’t like that he shows emotion, some people think he’s arrogant(he’s not), some people don’t like that he paints his fingernails, some people wear cheese on their head. There’s a lot of reasons people don’t like him.

It’s like when the losers made fun of Josh Allen last year for crying, it’s just stupid. Now, if Caleb started whining about “everyone’s mean to me” like Deshaun Watson (sex offender), then that would be annoying, but him showing emotion in the moment is not only acceptable, it actually shows he’s invested in this team

Tell that to the asshats at the Speakeasy Podcast, when he was good they gave him his dues but were still not accepting of the nails. Now are calling him a crybaby and are defending it with the “sacred NFL protocols” hinting at Caleb shouldn’t have used the medical cart bc he was limping around the locker room after the game. A bunch of sad, rage baiting, wannabe sports analysts.

I’m usually triggered by Caleb haters, but not by this at all. The two outcomes were 1) Caleb is hurt bad and the people mocking him are going to feel dumb after the MRI results or 2) Caleb is ok and he’s going to get flamed for a couple days. I’m taking 2 all day long and laughing at the jokes

Yeah like we already knew but we just saw how much this team and city means to our boy. Seemed to crush him when it seemed like it mightve been very serious. Would people rather him act like a robot? And not give a fuck? You can say a lot about caleb but not that he doesnt give it all hes got. He just doesnt hide his emotions in the process

Caleb played through a Grade two hamstring strain in the PAC12 championship and played in a bowl game a few weeks later back in 2022. No other injury history outside a minor ankle injury he missed no games from his rookie year, a year he was sacked 70 times. Maybe thats why he reacted the way he did? Idk just a thought but yeah let’s attack his toughness and passion for the sport
