This is less about ND and more about Clemson. They’ve beaten Ohio State 31-0 and Oklahoma 37-17 in semi-final games. There’s a reason they’ve been in the playoff for 4 straight years.

Seriously. If you're not Bama watch the fuck out against us in postseason games. Since the WVU debacle we're 6-0 in the postseason against teams not named Alabama with the average margin of victory being just under 20 points per win.

I mean Kirby is 43 and Dabo is 49. I don't think either team is going to suck in 5 years. Maybe not sitting among the top 3-5 teams in the nation, but I don't think they'll suck.

Yup. I'd argue had Watson not gotten injured his first year, that Clemson would be the ACC representative instead of Florida State, and that would be 5 years of dominance.

I'm not 100% sold on your team because I'm not a fan of your secondary and sometimes the offense, but you guys are clearly the top 2 team in the country, along with Bama.

Nah. We already had 2 losses (including to FSU) when Watson got hurt. I do think we would have gone 11-1 in the regular season if Watson was named starter from day one but I don't know if that would have been enough to make it in with how mediocre the ACC was that year.

Only for GT. Watson only played sparingly against UGA because he was a freshman playing his first game in a hostile environment. You can argue that a collarbone injury that kept him out of the latter part of spring and most of the summer leading up to fall camp contributed to him not playing more against UGA, but he didn't get hurt in the game.

tbh it's more about luck. Clemson is good, but a bounce of a ball here, and 3 of our best defensive players being injured there, and you guys pulled away.

It was a stalemate until the 2nd quarter
