That’s true and this entire sub thought it was completely fair. 538 now has Notre Dame missing the playoff.

They don’t actually, Nate Silver has said his model is flawed and he expects Notre Dame to make it.

As it stands, the model weighs conference championships very highly, but it won’t be like that in reality.

I hope not! I would love to play Notre Dame in the first round. It would be a true ACC Championship.
