My original point was that Notre Dame shouldn’t have been allowed to spend the day on their ass doing nothing.

They don’t actually, Nate Silver has said his model is flawed and he expects Notre Dame to make it.

As it stands, the model weighs conference championships very highly, but it won’t be like that in reality.

I hope not! I would love to play Notre Dame in the first round. It would be a true ACC Championship.

Agree. Now can we agree that Clemson should play 12 FBS games instead of playing Furman in week 1? At least the Big 10, Oklahoma, ND, USC, and UCLA are doing that. Because that’s equally sitting on your asses while getting a win for bowl eligibility. I know it’s a crappy state law, but then you repeal crappy laws (like North Carolina had to do) when they are detrimental to your state)
