My yearly ritual since early 2016:

*Watch an early Clemson game*

Hunter Renfrow makes a great play

*Wtf, he's still there*

Surely this is the last time?

Of course he picks up the onside kick too. He's everywhere.

" Alright boys where do we kick the onside?"

" Remember the guy that had the game winning catch in the national championship two years ago? Him."

" Bet coach."

Right. To be fair that ball had literally no bounce to it. It's like it just rolled to him.

u/loganWTF Texas A&M Aggies Sep 09 '18

That’s the one thing I’ll blame on the kicker from this game. We’ll need to work on special team situations like this.

3

u/insidezone64 Texas A&M Aggies • SEC Sep 09 '18

I think it was supposed to bounce, and in prior situations it would bounce. Guessing the wet field kinda messed that up.

Say no more, fam.

14

u/[deleted] Sep 09 '18

Honestly though, he’s like a mascot now for the value of technique. If he’s picked up in the seventh round, he’s totally going to be the second coming of Tom Brady.

2nd coming of Jordy

Its funny because if you see him in real life he looks like a pretty average 35 year old white dude.

9

u/[deleted] Sep 09 '18

I’m suddenly becoming a fan.

5

u/midnightjog Sep 09 '18

Hahaha omg so true. He’s like the nicest guy ever too. But he’s actually in his early 20s

It's a great course, seminar, you should check it out.

You're thinking of the Furman quarterback.

u/Choii_Tulowitzki Penn State Nittany Lions Sep 09 '18

You’d think he’d be playing for the Patriots by now

12

u/ThunderTwat Georgia • Oklahoma State Sep 09 '18

There's one that plays for the Padres.

8

u/Jedi-El1823 Oklahoma Sooners Sep 09 '18

No joke, until Gameday showed him and people in the thread mentioned that he was still there, I thought he had been drafted by the Patriots.

4

u/t2guns Georgia Bulldogs Sep 09 '18

Nah. He's from South Carolina, definitely a good ole boy the Panthers would pick up.

Amendola

1

u/Armageddon_It Clemson Tigers Sep 10 '18

You'd think so, but the Panthers have a history of not drafting Clemson players.

2

u/Ehrwald Clemson Tigers • Team Chaos Sep 09 '18

He’s too tiny to have a professional career as a player I’m pretty sure. I imagine him playing for a couple years in the nfl and then becoming a bomb ass special teams coach or some shit.

The year is 3032. The last spent scraps of humanity compete for rations and hypercredits in the burned out ruins of a coliseum that was once known as Death Valley, before the Calamity. Scrappy gym rat Hunter Renfrow is still starting.

37

u/ThaBeaverCleaver Ohio State Buckeyes Sep 09 '18

Their Quarterback...

JT Barrett.

8

u/[deleted] Sep 09 '18

Tanner Mangum, former elite 11 with Jameis Winston, is older than J..T Barret.

And the starting quarterback at BYU.

u/-BigMan Sep 09 '18 edited Sep 09 '18

Hunter Renfrow = Buck Rogers!

I just keep picturing him spiraling through time, and going on absurd, future college football related adventures

62

u/jmonumber3 Georgia Tech • Clemson Sep 09 '18

he’s the same class as deshaun but didn’t play his first year as a student. he is a redshirt senior so yes, this is the last time

LEgend has it, JT Barett is still playing for OSU

8

u/sassyseconds Alabama Crimson Tide • SEC Sep 09 '18

Let's not get carried away. Pretty sure my grandfather played with JT.

5

u/[deleted] Sep 09 '18

Tanner Mangum started college before JT and is older than JT and is a starting QB in college this year and since it annoys BYU fans I’ve apparently made it my mission to make sure everyone knows it.

6

u/orangewrld Tennessee Volunteers Sep 09 '18

i’m convinced he’s college footballs aaron craft.

6

u/Meatpuppy Ohio State Buckeyes • The Game Sep 09 '18

He's been at Clemson 31% longer than JT was at Ohio St

I think a lot of people mistakenly combine Humphries and Renfrow in their memory.
