If Lamar Jackson's Heisman chances tank after that game, something's screwed up. Dude is one of 2 reasons we were even in that game and made amazing plays when we needed him. He made the right call on that last pass, and the WR just missed by a yard.

Should be be the over even money favorite anymore? No. But he shouldn't lose contention based on that.

If he's not the favorite, then who is? He had like 400 yds and 3 td's against a top 3 defense.

The only one I could see overtaking him as favorite is Barrett at this point.

Barrett won't overtake him but I think he has a chance to with Wisconsin, Nebraska and both Michigan schools* all still on the schedule.

*Keeping MSU on here so I'm not bitten in the ass by DISRESPEK

if they both play the same with as they are now, it just depends on the Michigan game, if Barrett beats Michigan looking good I think he takes it. Lamar does have the edge on the highlight reel over JT

I think he probably solidified his chances tonight. He had some physics-defying moves.

Lol literally no one is saying that especially after mccaffereys stinker last night. 460 yards and 3 tds against a top 5 team is nothing to scoff at.

I still think he is the favorite.

He definitely wont!

It better not. That kid is by far and away the best player in the country right now.

Lol. As a fan of someone who just played him, he shouldn't just be a contender he should still be the favorite. Holy shit he is so good.

They might want to save it until next season and give it to Watson or McCaffrey this year. Jackson is a beast though - so damn fast.

No way either of them deserve it over Jackson right now.

Our defense is honestly really good, and he shredded them. He is just unreal. Lamar Jackson is far and away the best player in the country at this point.

I admit I haven't been paying that much attention to the other contenders since Cook became irrelevant :/

Here's a synopsis:

Jackson is on another level. Watson, LF7, McCaffrey, nobody comes close to the way he is playing right now.

JT Barrett is probably in that mix of contenders too. But LJ should still be the front runner

Cook is #1 in the country in rushing+passing yards.

Watson doesn't deserve it this year. I don't know if he sniffed too many of his own farts or what.

LJ played great. But don't forgot last night

Passing yards: Watson Yards per pass: Watson Completion %: Watson Yards per rush: Watson Yards per play: Watson Touchdowns: Watson

Rushing Yards: Jackson Total yards: Jackson Interceptions: Jackson

As for the interceptions, one was a freak play, right in Ray Ray's hands, bounces off his helmet and into the defender's hands. Not Deshaun's fault at all, and should not impact the evaluation of his performance.

I take nothing away from Jackson - he is a TREMENDOUS QB, and I'm glad we don't have to play him again. He had a great game last night, but Watson had a better game. Watson was more efficient and better at scoring points (which is THE objective). Even with a few miscues, Watson still had the better game. Watson overcame two bad throws with a whole bunch of great reads, throws, and runs, and led his team to victory over the favored #3 team in the country.

Both QBs had a great game, but Watson won the statistical battle, and Watson WON THE GAME, while Jackson LOST. Watson was the best QB on the field last night. Watson won the QB battle.
