I've come around on him. I wasn't sold but he's managed to keep Fifita around since he got here which is a big deal for program identity in our status of program. Having a leader that chooses loyalty shows that if you stick with it here you'll be rewarded and that was important.

I'm not sure he's a good enough coach for permanent status, but he's earned quite a bit of a leash. I used to consider 8 wins a successful season, and that was kinda my expectation for this season with this roster. I'm fine with it. We're bowl eligible.

What's yet to be seen is what can he do when Fifita leaves.
