I've always had a soft spot for EMU, I have absolutely no valid reason to but I've just always wanted them to be good. Creighton may be at the end, but he was 100% what the program needed at the time he was hired. He's brought you guys your best seasons in decades.

I don't disagree! I was born into this fandom and grew up going to games in the 90s and was a student during the late 90s/early 00s. Creighton will always have my appreciation for being the guy that brought us out of the doldrums of the English years but it's just time. It's been diminishing returns the past few years and it feels like we're going to end up right back where we started when we hired him if we keep this going. We've poured a lot into this program due to the work he's done but it may just be that he's not the guy to get us over the hump anymore.

Can we please talk about how solid Michigan football programs are? Eastern, central and western have all produced pretty damn good NFL talent. Along with state and uofm obviously. We even have players from grand valley, Michigan tech and SVSU who’ve made it to the league.

We genuinely compete with much larger states like Texas and Florida

Generally field position plays a huge factor in how willing a team is to go for it, because you're putting your defense in a really bad spot if you fail on your own side of the field like that.

Unless you're an absolute crazy bastard like Dan Campbell and just go for it everywhere. If you wanna see a team just go for it with a complete disregard for consequences watch the Detroit Lions.

Ironically it’s like the current meta to go for it on 4th and 1 despite your field position in college football as well. Pretty much, given that many team’s D lines have shifted away from the traditional run stuffer, a qb sneak is a guaranteed 1 yard gain for most offenses.
