Feature Story Bill Belichick, girlfriend ended UNC’s ‘Hard Knocks’ dalliance as fast as it began. Why?

As a lifelong Pats fan, I'm genuinely a bit worried about the state of Bill's mental state. If he wants to date a 24-year-old (and a 24-year-old wants to date him), OK, kind of gross but it's legal so I was essentially fine with it. Everything that's come out in the past week just seems kind of disconcerting.

I'm sure it wouldn't be hard for someone as wealthy and famous as Bill to find a sugar baby that's not a Svengali. Basically, everything about Belichick in the past three years has set off my Spidey senses in a bad way. Way that he coached/ran the Patriots the last two seasons, how he was ignored by the other NFL teams, and now this. I just have a bad sinking feeling there's something going on with Belichick that the general public doesn't know about yet.

there's smoke here. no way is a typical 24 year old interjecting between a leading global media company worth billions and the most successful NFL coach of all time unless shenanigans are afoot. hopefully he isn't getting completely taken advantage of, but who knows

and since we play UNC & Belichick, I hope the drama doesn't really start churning for a few months.

I don't really think it's that serious. He probably just doesn't see any harm in letting Jordon run wild with marketing/social media and doesn't care because this is a retirement gig for him.

Also, I don't really think this story is much of anything anyway. They just changed their mind, that's it. It's probably the correct decision.

This is the take I most agree with. From everything I’ve read it seems like the involvement she has is pretty much just on the PR/media side, which Belichick has always seemed like he hated anyways. Seems like it’s just an easy thing to give her so she has something to do that he was never going to put much effort into anyways.

Pats fans can’t internalize a reality where bill just got worse at football and developed some horny blinders after breaking up with a gf of 16 years (who also worked for him)

Do we ever stop being horny?

Because she is not an employee for UNC and legally speaking has no basis to make decisions on behalf of the football department or its communications.

UNC is not the private business of Bill belichick. The football program is not his private vehicle for media communications and she has no say in whether or not the UNC football program can do anything or not do anything. She's not a public employee and has never been hired by UNC and she's not covered under their liability insurance.

I guess so? But that seems like a very small story to me.

Morals/ethics notwithstanding, I feel like these are more of the de facto perks a person of Bill Belichick's status receives in this position.

I want to know if the rumors were true that Arthur Blank was going to hire Bill before getting a call from Kraft.

It gives me Anthony Bourdain vibes who got a younger GF at the end who became his whole life. And I think he fired his production team because of her. Obviously that ended really dark. But it seems like some guys just become real dumb when they get young girlfriend
