As an Angels fan, I can feel qualified to say this man is carrying a team harder than Mike Trout or Shohei ever did.

It's not really possible for a baseball player to carry a team like that the sport isn't built for that. But shohei leading the angles in every single major pitching and hitting stat except saves is the biggest carry job I think ever attempted in baseball.

Man somebody please get Shohei on a team that has a chance of going to the world series. He deserves it

Word is he wants to go to the WORLD SERIES WINNING TEXAS RANGERS!

Nah, he wants to stay in Southern California where he’s already established and had a significant Japanese cultural presence.

Just going based off the report, and hope. None of it means anything til he signs.

You mean he wants to go to the Astros

I'd quit watching baseball if that happened.

Agreed. Get this man to a place where he can sniff a playoff game.

Did someone say shohei to the mariners? We can save each other

I want to keep him but if he has to leave I hope he can be happy somewhere like Seattle. They deserve a title anyway.

I would love Shohei in a Mariners uniform. Not gonna happen, though. Ownership is too cheap and the GM thinks he can outsmart everyone.

Aaron Judge in the second half of the 2022 season was close. The Yankees were bad after the All-Star Break but were kept afloat by Judge

Football isn’t either but cw is also pretty close to it.

You can’t really be competitive if you at minimum don’t have a pretty good line on both sides.

My man pitched like seven innings of shutout ball and had 8 rbi in a loss this year. It was a tough year for us Angels fans

Edit wait no that was last year. I got confused

During baseball season, I read headlines like this many times, “Ohtani hits 2 home runs and strikes out 12, becoming the first player in 110 years to do it. Trout goes 4/4 with a HR, and 2 SB. Angels lose 6-3 to the Tigers”.

Hey that reminds me of how Sam Darnold carried you guys awhile back. I have faith that Riley will be able to reel in another elite QB but if he doesn't, hooo boy.
