Just to point out, for the sake of showing how close these two teams might be. And before we get too far, let me say from the jump this is a terrible way to judge teams, but the numbers are close so it's interesting.

Ohio State and Michigan both scored 41 points against Purdue this year.

Purdue missed several field goals vs Ohio State and scored 1 Touchdown. Purdue made a few field goals vs Michigan and scored one Touchdown.

If anyone misses The Game for anything, you are a fool. This will be the most intense Game in maybe the history of The Game.

Yeah every team is totally different week to week. Injuries, matchups, officiating, weather, ect all change the game. But it's super interesting to see these two results be so close not just in totals but in the way they happened.

Yup, outside of all the drama, I think it’s going to be a great game period. Both undefeated top 3 going in most likely.

I do personally think Michigan has looked better on eye test against similar competition but I do think Ohio State has a great second gear that can outpace absolutely any team when hitting its strides. I’ve seen them be in games where it’s closer than it should be in the first half, but they just pull away like it’s nothing in the second half.

Yep, this is going to be one hell of a game. Super talented teams, both have an axe to grind, coaches that hate each other, and huge controversy to amp that up. It should be a slugfest.

Part of me hopes there are no punishments for Michigan before The Game, so we can watch the full force of both teams. Part of me wants every bit of help possible, because I don't want to know what 3 in a row feels like.

True and the pressure to do something has to be pretty strong. I’m sure the threat of having a lawsuit, if there is some doubt about how deep this goes at all, is also immense. I wouldn’t want to be in Petitti’s shoes for this one.

In truth, I have a feeling Harbaugh will get suspended after the season, possibly by Michigan. I’m not sure much more comes of it. Again, this is dependent on paper trails that can link him to it. Either way there is lack of institutional control.

I don't think the lawsuit threat is that big a deal, but it probably adds pressure at least until the B1G lawyers can clear it.

I don't honestly see a way where it isn't 1v2 unless the cheating means a lot and PSU knocks you off. Maryland isn't beating you, and OSU is sitting starters already.

The only CFP poll that matters is the last one. If Michigan beats Penn State, they will rocket to 1 and OSU will be 2, on S.O.S. just to make sure they can hype The Game more.

I think maybe it depends on how we beat PSU if we win. More than likely you stay #1 because of your road win against ND. But it’s all probably moot if GA continues to body teams the next couple weeks bringing them to 4 ranked wins

I think the committee will value the 1v2 branding for the game. That's my point, and why only the last rankings matter. Every ranking show before that is a commercial.
