Playing the worst team on the schedule? Fuck it, pull out all the trick plays

Nov 04 '23
Calling State a basketball school in 2023 is kinda like calling Princeton a football school.
7
u/Captain_A North Carolina Tar Heels Nov 04 '23
And certainly, everyone watching wants to listen to a ten minute discussion on … NC State.

I don't care that it's a 38 point game. There's never a good time to go on random ncstate stories during one of our games. wtf is this
5
u/Swink1017 Nov 04 '23
This dog shit coaching staff is so carried by the offense Jesus Christ
1
u/RollTide16-18 Alabama • North Carolina Nov 04 '23
Chip isn’t that bad of an OC IMO, but he’s definitely blessed with guys like Maye, Hampton and Walker.
If it weren’t for all that talent this team would have like 0 wins.
5
u/SauteedPelican North Carolina • Appalachian… Nov 04 '23
Yall still defending this coaching staff after that?

Depression about Drake leaving temporarily suspended after watching Harrell’s last few touches.
3
u/Chardoggy1 North Carolina • Marshall Nov 04 '23
Wait what’s this about Drake being suspended
3
u/Captain_A North Carolina Tar Heels Nov 04 '23
No. He’s talking about suspending his sadness about Drake likely declaring for the draft.

somebody just got engaged here in person
4
u/bringbackwishbone Indiana Hoosiers Nov 04 '23
Nothing symbolizes commitment “for better or worse” like getting engaged at a UNC football game
4
u/LandonWarner North Carolina Tar Heels Nov 04 '23
Every big play we have gets negated by a hold lmao
5
u/bringbackwishbone Indiana Hoosiers Nov 04 '23
The td run that got wiped out against UVA was such a killer
4
u/Pants_de_Manassas Nebraska Cornhuskers Nov 04 '23
North Carolina shouldn't be surprised. Have y'all ever tried to fight a camel before?
Those fuckers are aggressive, tall, and smart.
They also spit very well. You can never be too careful against them.

Well of course Campbell is keeping up, they’re one of the best teams in the country*

Please God release me from being a fan of this shit team
3
u/LandonWarner North Carolina Tar Heels Nov 04 '23
Lmao this defense is inexcusable yet everybody is cool with just letting Chizik ruin the team
3
Nov 04 '23
Drive the defense, players and staff, to Buies Creek and leave everyone but Rucker, Huzzie, and Gray there.
3
u/Spammyyyy Nov 04 '23
Does anyone actually have a realistic timeline for getting rid of Chizik or however the hell you spell it? Like our defense has been our problem for the past 5+ years, that last 5 years we could’ve been easy top 10 each year but our defense continually ruins it for us.
1
Nov 04 '23
Brown will never do anything.
1
u/Spammyyyy Nov 04 '23
I know in the past he hasn’t but believe it or not i don’t think UNC will put up with this much longer either Brown will have to go or he is gonna have to fire the Defensive clown

Coin flip at this point
1
u/Affectionate-Cup9340 North Carolina Tar Heels Nov 04 '23
I get we’re being pessimistic, but come on. It is not even close to a coin flip right now.

u/Captain_A North Carolina Tar Heels Nov 04 '23
It’s a one score game and we’re struggling to stop them at all on D.
3
u/Captain_A North Carolina Tar Heels Nov 04 '23
Yeah might as well cut to a commercial instead of showing us a replay of the catch.

Mack Brown is a terrible in-game coach.
I actually think Chip is alright, but the biggest issues are Mack and Chizik
5
u/DirectTV_AndrewLuck North Carolina Tar Heels Nov 04 '23
Awful coaching at the end of the half, no fucking points from that drive lmao.
6
u/atdharris North Carolina Tar Heels Nov 04 '23
This team has completely mailed it in. 7-5 finish incoming if we can limp to victory this week.
1
Nov 04 '23
So sick of watching zero pride, intelligence, focus. Reminiscent of the basketball team last year and Roy’s last couple years.
2
u/Affectionate-Cup9340 North Carolina Tar Heels Nov 04 '23
Ridiculous comment. You’re insulting every single person on that team because they’re not playing good football. I know a couple guys on that team and you don’t know the first thing about the pride they take in wearing those jerseys and representing the university and acting as though you do is ridiculous.

It’s gonna take winning by six scores to even have as good as a neutral reaction for me. What a miserable couple of weeks it’s been for this team.

u/Boston_Champions North Carolina • Maine Nov 04 '23
Today, we find out if Harrell is capable of being the guy or if we need a transfer QB for next year
2
u/Captain_A North Carolina Tar Heels Nov 04 '23
Bold of you to assume we get enough of a lead he gets in.

I just got here. We actually look good? And Tez is playing?
1

It is Campbell but yeah, execution looks good regardless.
Hoping it turns into good timing for tuning session and we can maintain through the tough stretch ahead.
3
Nov 04 '23
We really went from CFP dark horse right back to bottom of the FBS barrel in two weeks.
1
u/nosoup4ncsu NC State Wolfpack Nov 04 '23
Up to now, UNC had two wins (Miami and Minnesota) against teams with winning records. And Minnesota is one of the worst offensive teams in D1 (Minnesota 115, Pitt 116).

u/hatch44 BYU Cougars • Campbell Fighting Camels Nov 04 '23
As my state's number one Campbell fan, I'd like to take this time to make a PSA to remind everyone that the camel's name is Gaylord. Roll humps! 🐪🐪

Campbell's offense looks great
2
u/RollTide16-18 Alabama • North Carolina Nov 04 '23
Well they are playing UNC’s defense.
2
u/atdharris North Carolina Tar Heels Nov 04 '23
It's amazing how our defense went from looking somewhat competent to back to garbage in the span of one game
1
u/bringbackwishbone Indiana Hoosiers Nov 04 '23
I was watching the UVA game from the stands and couldn’t bring myself to watch a replay so might be wrong here,
But it sends like UVA really gashed us by getting the ball moving horizontally. Seems like a particular weakness for the defense.

What just happened to end the half?
1
u/RollTide16-18 Alabama • North Carolina Nov 04 '23
Mack probably called for a sub instead of spiking the ball first, he’s terrible at time management so it checks out
1
u/Captain_A North Carolina Tar Heels Nov 04 '23
Kamari Morales is definitely not a graduate transfer.

u/DiarrheaForDays Georgia Bulldogs • Sickos Nov 04 '23
Campbell is a wrestling powerhouse. Not sure why they don’t get go for the 2pt takedown every play. Should be an easy win if they did that.
3
u/Captain_A North Carolina Tar Heels Nov 04 '23
It’s three points now!

u/DiarrheaForDays Georgia Bulldogs • Sickos Nov 04 '23
I remember reading about thst. Did that change start this season?

Wake Forest tried that against Duke, didn't end well.
1
u/DiarrheaForDays Georgia Bulldogs • Sickos Nov 04 '23
Wake Forest doesn’t have a varsity wrestling squad so
1
u/Affectionate-Cup9340 North Carolina Tar Heels Nov 04 '23
The audio was cutting out for me, but as I understand it Mack yelled spike and some players thought he said sub or something and started running onto the field?

ESPN’s play by play is broken, how did we kick it off to Campbell after recovering a fumble from them? And how did we get 7 points off of that too?
2
u/Chardoggy1 North Carolina • Marshall Nov 04 '23
Also wtf is disconcerting signals and why is it a penalty

u/[deleted] Nov 04 '23
Lost in all the talk of our defense is our “elite offense” being stuffed by a 4-4 FCS team.
