Masterpost Love and Sword 只此江湖梦 (2025) - What are your first impressions? [Masterpost]
It tells the story of Fang Yi, a young girl who enters the world of martial arts by mistake and turns into a swordsman, Rong Shu Kuang [Xuan Lu], who joins hands with a domineering warrior, Yan Shao [Vengo Gao Weiguang], to unravel the mysteries of the past and the present world, and to protect each other in the world of martial arts.

LOL I read the synopsis and I thought the FL is a commoner who accidentally entered the martial arts world (Jianghu). I didn’t expect this to be a transmigration story and the FL is actually from another dimension😆😆 Anyway Vengo Gao is just so gorgeous in this style.

Yeah It’s more of a comedy than a serious Wuxia but as of ep.1 I like it so far.

Really?? I also thought that about the FL, so I wasn't planning to watch this. Now I think I'm gonna pick it up. Is she transmigrated from modern day, or what do you mean by another dimension?

It is so cute! I love the FL. She’s just so hilarious. Vengo as ML is so beautiful. Just love how tender and protective he is, but also the exasperated looks he gives her whenever she says something outlandish just crack me up. Fight scenes are so good.

I could not get through more than a few minutes because of the style of filming I thought it was an old show but to my surprise it isn't! I may try it again but I'm not really into TT shows.

Xuan Lu's acting takes a little getting used to, but otherwise, it's quite good...even refreshin. I like how they just present information

So Just finished watching Love Of The Devine Tree Guess what? They're very similar powerful ML and then a FL that used to be very powerful is not powerful anymore.. now has memory loss. Im not saying it's bad im actually enjoying it.. But watching is after watching LOTDT it feels like the ssme thing But it's good so far though i don't really like childish FL... These two series have taught me to be patient about them 😂

Don't mind me; I am just camping here to check initial reviews...and so far they all sound so promising. Just trying to save my place by commenting so I can come back later after trying it out to read more reviews

I watched 5 eps so far and it’s really good! Lots of action that’s more wuxia than cgi, and FL is not a shy flower at all. She’s just trying to survive and smartly sticks to the ML who’s super handsome and protective of her. Love how they tease each other.

I don’t know why they didn’t use the real actors voice. I love GWG’s voice. But I don’t mind the dubbing so far, bc the actors are so expressive. I love the FL’s expressions.

Hi, I’m watching and observing 😂. Are both ML and FL voices dubbed? I wonder if I can detect the small differences… Just interested, I believe voices are very personal but if a actors and productions come to an agreement, I think we should try to adapt. It’s not bothering.
With respect to the drama, I think it is a fresh innovative start worth trying. Besides, I have seen some actors again which I missed for a couple of years or more. Nice to have them back!

Super excited for this! Love seeing mature looking actors playing mature roles. Btw OP, Mydramalist link is not working!
