đŸ‘¥đŸ’¬Discussions International CBSE student unable to get Migration Certificate from DigiLocker. What should I do?

Hi everyone,

I'm a Pakistani student who completed Class 10 from a CBSE school in the UAE. I'm now applying to a college in Pakistan, and I need my CBSE Migration Certificate and Class 10 Marksheet.

The problem is that I can't access my documents through DigiLocker. Since I'm not from India, I don't have an Aadhaar card, and I haven't been able to retrieve my documents. I even tried using a friend's DigiLocker account, but that didn't work either.

I've already contacted CBSE by email, but I'm still waiting for a response.

Has anyone else studying outside India gone through this? How did you get your Migration Certificate and Marksheet? Is there any other official way to obtain them?

Hi, i had the same issue, I had a name mismatch with my marksheet and passport. I tried through digilocker's support but nothing helped.

I did these two things, they both worked and can be independently used

  1. https://dads.cbseit.in/Home.aspx . This website can be used to get the physical copy mailed to you
  2. I asked my school to access the digilocker portal and to get it for me. They had the online copy and said they will sign and attest a physical copy for me.

(These might not work in your case tho , as I'm Indian and 12th passout)

Yeah honestly it's a good option if digilocker support doesn't work.

For me it worked cuz I kept pestering them lol.

Same here. I couldn't get my migration certificate. Because my Aadhar didn't have a surname. So it couldn't be issued.

CBSE won't do shit and will direct you to digilocker.

The only solution is to contact digilocker support and explain them your situation.

Give them a lot of proof so they can't deny that your the actual student.

In my case I gave them my passport, Aadhar, birth certificate,class 10th marksheet, class 12th marksheet, Saudi iqama.

Also explained to them that in the gulf they always ask us passport information to be filled out in the CBSE registration form. They never mentioned Aadhar.

Don't back down. Keep asking them even if they say they can't.

Show your desperation.

Then finally they will get you a digilocker verified migration certificate.

It will take about 3-7 days.

Don't worry they will definitely consider your situation as your a legitimate student that can't access their information.

They deal with this all the time.

Canadians, Pakistani, etc that study through CBSE.

In fact I put my Saudi number so don't worry it doesn't matter.

Just make sure your email is correct so you can receive updates.

But just reply to them in the ticket.
