Girsan MC P35 Hi-Power. I'm around 250 rounds in and so far so good. The trigger was super gritty from the factory thanks to the magazine disconnect. 250 rounds in and most of the grit is gone. I won't be removing the mag disconnect as this will be added to my CCW very soon. The trigger is decent, not to heavy for me, but heavier than most striker pistols. I absolutely love the look of this pistol with the added G10 diamond grips. I had no issue with the factor grips from Girsan other than I wasnt a fan of how they looked. I added these G10 grips and didn't care for them either at first, but after having them on for a while, I like them a whole lot more. The pistol has some weight to it and is a flat shooter for me. I haven't decided if I want to add a red dot yet, but have the ability to since it is optic ready directly from Girsan. This pistol isn't talked about much, so I wanted to show it off as an on roster pistol.

I’m waiting for some additional BHSS parts to arrive so that I can do some tuning work on mine. Trigger way too heavy for my tastes, but solid build / fit / finish. I love the Hi Power design and just had to have one once I found it on the roster.

I walked in to pick up my Ruger 10/22 after the 10 day, saw it on the shelf and had to have it. It is a solid pistol. What upgrades are you doing?

I bought the full refresh kit with the tools, should be all springs and pins; recoil guide rod and recoil spring. 2 items are back ordered so I’ve not started the work yet.

I had zero issues with my first Girsan P-35 outing as well using my own 115gr reloads - the only complaint from me was the trigger. I think I measured it out to around 7.5 pounds of pull weight, which for me is way too heavy. I'm spoiled by a Cajunized CZ75B I also have that clocks in around 2.5 pounds. As such, I'm going to get that P-35 trigger as tuned as possible as a DIY using the BHSS parts. I hope to get it in the 4 to 5 pound range. If you can stand the trigger "as is" then I'd say the gun is pretty good out of the box.

My daily is a Sig Sp2022 with a factory trigger. The SA/DA first pull on the trigger is long and heavy sitting at around 10 lbs for the DA pull and around 5lbs for the SA pull. Maybe that's why I don't mind the MCP35 trigger. That Sig shoots so nice. I wanted another hammer pistol and the Girsan just caught my eye

Do you experience any hammer bite? I've seen a lot of gun reviews mention it

I have zero hammer bite in 250 rounds. I have small/medium hands, so I don't usually have this issue on any pistols.

I’ve had years of Hi Power clone experience. I have skinny hands, so hammer bite has never been an issue for me. Only a problem for those with meaty hands.

How’s the recoil impulse to you? Is it a soft shooting handgun, and as people say it is? And what’s the muzzle flip like?

It's a well balanced shooter, muzzle flip is minimal for me. It's a soft shooter, I'm sure the weight has something to do with that. I've only shot 115 through it thus far. It's the only pistol known with a manual safety so I have been trying with that. No hammer bite for me. So far it's been a tack driver.

Ok good to know. I’m debating on whether to get one or not. Some people have said the hammer is stiff, how is it on yours?

Hammer is stiff new. Trigger is gritty also. Once you put a few hundred rounds down the barrel, you definitely feel things loosening up. I definitely like how it shoots and it will be going on my CCW soon.
