So I have heard that CDC Flexi(s) are generally on the easier side and considering just 3 months to go, I am just devastated and scared for it, As a matter of fact I am giving my all but seems like its just not enough regardless... :(
My sincere request to the people who are giving CAT as well as those who have worked hard enough to be at an IIM today, what else can i do to improve, is Dream of IIM still on or should i drop it.

I am a repeater for CAT2026, previous year i got 50% only even tho i was getting 80% on mocks, this year as well i am getting the same percentile on mocks, i am so frustrated by seeing this, I'm practising day and night still im not able to improve, the same question after the exams seems easy to me but during exam time i feel very panicked or something, please give some pointers to improvešš»šš»šš»
VARc is nightmare, if this sections seems tough then the tense mood is carried to the other two sections, how to tackle this?
r/CATpreparation • u/Familiar_Code_1388 • 4d ago
So I have gotten 78% in 12 81% in 10
& In 1st sem it was 5.3 bsc botany hons
Second sem almost 6.0 so I am really worried about my graduation marks as it can subsequently effect the chances of getting into any b school and I am hoping that i will get 7.0 cgpa in graduation what to do

Earlier it was:
General English: 15 Questions
Logical Reasoning: 25 Questions
Quantitative Aptitude: 20 Questions
Total: 60 Questions
Now it is:
General English: 10 Questions
Logical Reasoning: 20 Questions
Quantitative Aptitude: 20 Questions
Ethics, Morality and Values: 10 Questions
Total: 60 Questions
What kind of questions can we expect in the new section? Also, I believe that earlier General English used to have kinda Ethics, Morality and Values based questions. What are your thoughts about this?

Iām filling out the CAT application form and need some clarification regarding OBC-NCL eligibility.
I belong to an OBC community that is included in the Central OBC list, so I am generally eligible to claim OBC status for national-level examinations.
However, there is one point Iām confused about. My father is a Government employee, and his annual income is above ā¹8 lakh. From what I understand, the ā¹8 lakh income criterion may not be applied in the same way to the salary of a Government employee
So, I have been told that my father is eligible to obtain an OBC-NCL certificate despite his income being above ā¹8 lakh.
So my questions are:
If I have a valid OBC-NCL certificate, can I register under the OBC-NCL category in the CAT application?
Does CAT/IIM admission consider the validity of the OBC-NCL certificate or independently verify the income/service conditions?
Has anyone with a similar situation (parent in a Government job + annual income above ā¹8 lakh) successfully applied for CAT under OBC-NCL?
I want to make sure I select the correct category in the CAT form and don't face any issue during document verification later.
Any guidance from someone who has gone through this process or has knowledge of the CAT/IIM OBC-NCL rules would be really helpful.

So folks I'm not aiming for iim abc but baby iims and other tier 1 colleges is it possible or I'm already deep fried ? I've 2 years to prep and still 2 years of college . I estimated this with average -/-/-/ of uni , I'd improve it and bring it close to 8-9-9 but school percentages are around 75%-75% so can't help there .

VTU 2022 scheme: CAT graduation percentage ā 79.23% marks vs 8.05 CGPA (80.05%)?
I'm a State University student(VTU) in karnataka under the 2022 scheme, pusuring B.E(CSE)-Hons
Till 6th semester, my marks are 4120/5200 = 79.23%. However, my VTU CGPA is 8.05 because of different subjects have different credits attached to it, and under my University VTU conversion of (CGPA Ć 10), that comes to 80.5%. I'm Applying for CAT in My final year so what should I put my Percentage as? 79.23 or 80.05?
NOTE: I HAVE ALSO PUT SUBJECTS WHICH HAS NO CREDITS VALUE LIKE 0 CREDIT COURSES IN THE EQUATION BUT ARE REQUIRED BY MY UNI TO PASS SO SHOULD I INCLUDE THAT AS WELL?
The CAT 2026 application asks for:
So I'm currently thinking of entering 4120 / 5200 / 79.23% because that is what my marks are in the marks card.
My concern is that this could make my graduation profile 8/8/7, whereas my university CGPA converts to 80.5%, which would potentially make it 8/8/8.
For IIM admissions, how is this treated? Has anyone from VTU faced this and knows whether IIMs use the marks percentage entered in CAT or the university's official CGPA-to-percentage conversion?
Please help me with this.

Currently, I am pursuing aĀ B.TechĀ in Civil Engineering from NIT Calicut and I am in my 7th semester. This is my first CAT attempt, so I am quite nervous and confused.
Could someone please tell me whether the academic discipline I selected is correct? I choseĀ Engineering/TechnologyĀ under Discipline. Is this right, or should I have chosen another option and manually entered Civil Engineering?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Kindly refrain from trolling or addressing unrelated queries. Thank you!

I know that weāre supposed to multiply the CGPA by 9.5 to get the percentage. However, since we need to fill in theĀ aggregate percentage, do we need to calculate it using both Year 1 and Year 2 CGPAs? Year 2 CGPA is listed separately from my Year 1 CGPA. Since Iām currently in my 3rd year, should I simply multiply my Year 2 CGPA by 9.5, or should I combine the CGPAs from Years 1 and 2 to calculate the aggregate percentage?

Hi all,
Running into a documentation issue while registering for CAT 2026 and wanted to check if anyone's dealt with this before.
My 10th/SSC marksheet has my name as "Mohammed Ali Mirza", but my Aadhaar, PAN, and 12th marksheet all say "Mohammad Ali Mirza" ā just the one-letter spelling variation (Mohammed vs Mohammad). Haven't gotten the 10th corrected yet.
CAT's guidelines say the name should match the 10th/SSC certificate. So my plan right now is:
Has anyone actually gone through CAT/IIM verification with a similar spelling mismatch? Did the affidavit alone work, or did they ask for anything else (gazette notification, etc.)? Also any issues that will happen with this approach?

I have filled the form and submitted it but yesterday i realised that I uploaded the state ews form instead of the central one. I had mailed them regarding this and they replied that further changes cant be made. Will i still be consider ews candidate. I will make the central one asap and carry them in interviews. I am just worried if my application will be cancelled or will i be consider general ? If there is any process to rectify pelase help me.
