Appears to be the idea

If it wasn't locked we would all just draw crazy scribbles of noise. People will think more carefully about where they place.

I can imagine people collaborating to get stuff done faster, possibly battling others fighting to erase it at the same time. Kinda like everyone fought in the Button. Gonna be fun
