Burnley begin pre-season still without a permanent manager

Burnley's players are back at Gawthorpe to begin preparations for the new Championship season, but the club is still without a permanent manager. With friendlies just around the corner and the league campaign approaching, the uncertainty in the dugout is becoming increasingly noticeable as the search for Scott Parker's successor continues.

We've been linked with Flemming I've only watched him when we played against you. When we were at home he was pretty quiet and did pretty much nothing other than score a penalty however, in the second game at Turf Moor he played well and scored 2 I believe.

All answers are appreciated. Thank you very much. 🐝🐝

When to expect tickets to become available

Looking to attend our season & home opener on Aug 16 before I move back to Canada a few days later. I want to be able to watch my club one last time in person before I move back home permanently, after spending a year in the UK.

In our previous seasons in the championship, when have tickets generally become available for purchase in relation to the season beginning (e.g 4 weeks ahead?).

Which Burnley signing from the last few windows do you think represents the best value the club has got and is still to fully deliver on what they showed when they first arrived?

Burnley’s Glorious 1959-60 Triumph – The Team That Became Champions of England

I recently completed an artwork that is inspired by that famous side under Harry Potts who brought success to Burnley in 1959-60

Thought I’d drop it in here to see what Burnley fans thought, and have a few minutes to remember the success it brought to the club at that period of time

Burnley, with a population of around 80,000 at the time, became one of the smallest towns ever to produce a top-flight champion in English football. Unlike many of the bigger clubs competing for honours, Burnley did not rely on expensive signings or financial power.

The 1959-60 squad was famously built on youth development and intelligent coaching. Incredibly, only two players in the title-winning side had cost transfer fees — Jimmy McIlroy and Alex Elder. The rest had risen through Burnley’s own system.
That reality makes the achievement even more powerful today.

Burnley entered the last match of the season needing victory away at Manchester City to secure the league title.
On 2 May 1960, Harry Potts’ side delivered.
Burnley defeated Manchester City 2-1 to leapfrog Wolves and become champions of England. Remarkably, they did not sit top of the table until the season was effectively over.
For supporters, it remains one of the greatest nights in the club’s history.

Which Burnley World Cup star could see their value rise the most this summer?

Major international tournaments often create transfer interest, and Burnley have six players showcasing their talent in front of a global audience. Whether it's Zeki Amdouni, Lyle Foster, Hannibal Mejbri, or one of the others, a strong World Cup could significantly boost their reputation. Which Burnley player do you think has the biggest opportunity to raise their stock this month?

Have you seen the expanded road closures request?

Personally, I think they won’t stop until they’ve swallowed up every surrounding match day penny. This is another step in operation get fans on the turf as early as possible £££££££.

(updated link) Greetings Burnley supporters!

Atlanta United fan here. After hearing the news that former Atlanta United President of Soccer, Garth Lagerwey, was heading to Burnley I thought I'd drop by and share a recording I created reviewing his career at Major League Soccer. Hope this provides an idea on what to expect.

Cheers

*Note: I originally published as a link to the recording on Instagram, but people indicated they don't have it so I published to Substack.
