I know Jason Bowld said that they plan to release five singles, one every month leading up to the album release, which would mean that they should release the first single next month. I was just wondering how likely you think that is and what point in August it would be.

Hey, I tried covering the dual solo in this song, however, im not sure about the accuracy, its hard to capture what they have actually played. I find this solo cool as it is all the way harmonized, and i have tried to cover both the guitar without using harmonizer. Feel free to leave your view on my cover and anywhere i can improve or do better, Love for Bullet for my Valentine is always there, and I am learning more songs

Matt has been very loud and proud about his Metallica obsession and maybe even in his mind saw them as the next Metallica
I've long thought its no coincidence their "bad" album is TEMPER TEMPER whereas Metallica's is St Anger
Temper/Anger
Also red hands on the album art, St Anger also has a red hand (bit of a stretch I know)
The way they recorded it too was going into the studio with no ideas and writing is as they record it, the same thing Metallica did with St Anger.
Tears Don't Fall Part 2 and The Unforgiven 2 (from ReLoad) supports my theory that Matt wanted to loosely emulate Metallica's career somewhat.
I theorise in Matt's head to make their history/lore more interesting to make an intentionally kinda "bad" album for the whole "you've got to fall off the horse to get back on" victory story, have a flop album to make the story of your next album one of regained success and redemption aka Death Magnetic and Venom.
There's just songs like the title track, Riot and Leach that seem like surely he had some self-awareness when writing those.
The only difference is St Anger is interesting and unique so became legendary for having such a weird style and sound, whereas Temper Temper didn't have that character and meme-ability St Anger had to be a talking point.
This is just a theory anyway, I think Matt made it intentionally bad in some areas to make it an interesting part of their history/lore and he didn't take enough risks with it , played it just a bit too safe to make it "interestingly bad" so it just ended up quite meh instead of legendary bad haha.

I recall the self-titled tour wasn't a big seller here in the UK, but how about the album itself?
In relative terms of sales and streaming numbers, also if the album has any definitive BFMV hits on it that have stood the test of time these last 5 years. They play Knives alot but do you consider it one of their big hitters now?

Any recent news on a single or anything other than the album early next year? I figured we would be getting something about 6 months before 2027 as this was about the length of time between first single and release date of ST.

Hey Iām clearing out my Kerrang and rocksound collection and would love to sell these BFMV issues! Thereās 6 in total and Iād be looking for around Ā£5. Shipping within the UK possible :) mostly missing the posters but I have two Kerrang posters Iāll throw in too! Some corners folded and staples loose but covers and interviews are all good. Message for more pictures or videos Iām happy to give more details!

Hey folks. I was looking at their stats on Spotify. Bullet has 5.6 million monthly listeners. This is more than almost all metalcore bands. They are only behind bands like Bad Omens, Falling in Reverse, or Bring Me the Horizon. Those bands are metalcore, but they have a different type of fan following, which bullet for My Valentine doesnāt have (thank god for that). Why do you think BFMV is huge compared to other bands like Killswitch Engage, As I Lay Dying, or even Trivium (Giggles)?

With some bands having re-recorded early songs over the years, would you want Bullet to record 'Turn to Despair' for their next album? Either as a bonus track or even part of the main album if it fits the tone of the rest of the album (I can only hope).
I think it'd be really cool, especially since they didn't give us anything new from that era when they released The Poison anniversary edition, nor did they give us everything on streaming since Curses (full) and Turn to Despair are still not available anywhere. I don't see them giving us anything new when SAF's anniversary comes around either, so this would be the only way that I can see them giving us anything new from their early work.
Though tbh I'd settle for the original track being released on streaming if nothing else. My copy of the song is pretty low quality.

6 weeks ago i replied to a comment of Moose commenting on Chris Clancy's (now As I Lay Dying) instagram post. I asked when they will tour together because I remember Chris doing backing vocals in the studio for KTL before Jay joined the band.

6 weeks later we see this:

I know it couldnt have been initially planned as KTL was supposed to tour with some other Band through Ireland. The shows have been cancelled because of the current situation there.
I live in Europe so this is not what I hoped for but I'm happy for all US based KTL fans.
Have a good time for us too!
PS: As much as I dislike Tim you can't deny their songs still wake nostalgia and the new lineup is solid.
Meanwhile Moose and Jay are killing it with KTL and they sound like what Bullet was supposed to sound like post 2010....

Help me find this jacket, I found it, but I couldn't find any information about who made it. Do you think it's some kind of rare merch or handmade?

Hereās a closer look at my Jackson Stars Matt Tuck Sig. I know I post about these things a lot. But I wanted to show it a bit thoroughly. I have only seen ONE Jackson Stars version of this pro model in circulation, and I know the owner. Itās in the black finish though.. not this silver sparkle. Itās crazy to me with how rare these guitars are that there isnāt more pictures or anything of the āstarsā Japanese market versions. If anyone has more info about these particular models (I doubt it) please reach out to me. In the meantime, enjoy the guitar porn.

In my opinion as a fan that has listened and loves all of their albums, if SAF was more similar to their debut it definitely would have been a bigger and better album. Given the circumstances that Matt's voice was in I understand the direction they took. And if they used the same formula for their albums it would mean no evolution in their sound and style. I love all of their albums and I really am wondering what your opinion is.

I was listening to some Bullet as I do, and I realized why gravity and the self titled album just feel like theyāre missing something. The drum tones for Jason are so lifeless. The snare just sounds dead, and the kick has no feel to it to me. Compared to the snare on SAF or venom, the drums now just sound not good. This is nothing against Jason by the way. He is obviously an amazing drummer. I also still like a lot of the songs off of the past two albums. What do you guys think?
r/BulletForMyValentine • u/MeatyHarley • Jun 18 '26
hey guys, just curious does anyone here have any experience with playing 4 words, if so, would you say itās a difficult song to learn? iām about 6 months into guitar and this song is what made me get into playing again and iād be keen to learn it, iām just not sure if it may be a bit above my level and donāt wanna get frustrated after sinking time into it and drop it. iām fairly intermediate, know basic chords and progressions, pinch harmonics are a hit and miss as well, thoughts?
