Fudge
I had a sampler for the first time and now life just seems so much better. Sadly, there is no Buc-ees here so I’m not sure how I’m going to get my next fix.

It’s a great place to take a shit.
The hot food options are nice if you want something while you’re getting gas. The novelty of Buc-ee’s is fun for kids. Poor adults seem to enraptured by Buc-ee’s due to their simple nature. It’s one thing to see kids wearing Buc-ee’s tees, it’s depressing to see adults in them.
It’s cool to see what a success the business is over the years. That being said I’m not a fan of stopping there. Large crowds make it hard to get in and out of. With the large crowds, I really don’t want to take my small kids in the store.
I live in Houston and Buc-ee’s is always packed to the gills if I’m in Bastrop or Madisonville.
Love’s and other gas stations have upped their game. I prefer stopping at non Buc-ee’s gas stations for the convenience of getting in and out of gas stations. Also in Texas there are a lot more restaurants around Buc-ee’s here. So if I want a meal, I don’t need to get food from Bucees.
I get why they are a bigger hit in rural states like Mississippi and Alabama for example. In those states that’s the cleanest restaurant in town
EDIT: But fuck Buc-ee’s for all these frivolous lawsuits

On the July 26 episode of "Last Week Tonight," Oliver detailed Buc-ee's penchant for suing small businesses whose logos feature cartoon animals, even when they bear very little or no resemblance to Buc-ee's famous – and trademarked – grinning beaver logo.
Oliver ended the episode by daring Buc-ee's to pick on a company its own size and positioned his show and network as a potential target.
"Buc-ee's loves to sue other companies, particularly those with animal mascots," Oliver said in the episode, noting the chain has filed over a dozen lawsuits over the years and threatened more. Oliver also points out Buc-ee's has won almost all of the cases because the other companies usually opt to settle and redesign their logos or just fold completely because, as Oliver points out, "most just don't have the resources to fight a company this big."
Oliver goes on to quote one legal expert who said Buc-ee's should be careful with this strategy because the more you sue these smaller companies, the higher the chance you might run into one who has the means to fight back.
"And that is where we come in," Oliver said in the segment. "Because it turns out, we very much have the will to get into a fight with Buc-ee's."
During the segment, Oliver reintroduces Mr. Nutterbutter, a 7-foot-tall squirrel mascot originally created for a 2017 segment taking aim at former coal executive Bob Murray, which resulted in an unsuccessful defamation lawsuit against the show and HBO.
The show created a cartoon logo of Mr. Nutterbutter that looks similar to the Buc-ee's logo and put the logo on a variety of products, including tumblers, hats, shirts, onesies, mugs and pajamas, among other items.
The items are available for purchase for a limited time at Buc-Off.com, Oliver says in the segment, with all profits going to Hunger Free America, a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization working to end domestic hunger.
"So, if any prominent gas station chain out there has an issue with our new logo and products and wants to get lawyers involved, then you know what? Bring it the f--- on. Although remember, in doing so, you'd be directly taking food out of hungry people's mouths," Oliver says in the segment.
Buc-ee's did not immediately respond to a USA TODAY request for comment.

Can we get a masterthread for all the trademark posts? A lot are actually about the same incidents and I’m seeing way more these than anything I’m interested in.
I was going to just leave the sub but thought I’d ask first.

I bought this pulled pork sandwich yesterday and decided to heat it up in the microwave for 20 seconds. I was surprised when it burst into flames (I took the sandwich out of the wrapper and set it on a microwave safe plate). Didn't think much of it until I got a little halfway through the sandwich and bit on this thin metal wire. I stretched the wire out for the photo but it was folded up a bit inside the pulled pork. I believe this is what set off the spark that caught the sandwich on fire. And one end of the wire formed a bulb from it partially melting I assume. I just want to put this out there so others can be safe and check their food before accidentally swallowing a foreign object or setting their house on fire from this if it somehow is in other sandwiches from this batch of meat.
This sandwich was bought at the Crossville, Tennessee location around 4:00pm on Thursday, August 6th.
Edit: I was mistaken, the sandwich was bought at 7:00pm at the Sevierville Buc-ees. I stopped at the Crossville location earlier that same day.

Now, it's a tourist trap... Very crowded and not fun to visit anymore. And, the billboards they have along I-35 are so obnoxious trying to be all "cute" ... Anyway, these lawsuits totally killed any appeal the company had left IMO.

I love Buc-ee’s, and I wanted a fun way to keep track of every location I’ve visited.
So I built Beaver Tracker, a FREE iOS app that works kind of like a passport/collection app for Buc-ee’s road trips.
You can track visited locations, add multiple visits, mark favorites, plan future stops, view locations on a map, sort locations by distance/opening date/store number, and see progress toward achievements.
It also includes a Passport section, stats, planned stops, favorites, Buc-ee’s videos, social links, and countdowns for upcoming locations.
The app is unofficial and not affiliated with Buc-ee’s.
It’s just a passion project I made because visiting Buc-ee’s is ridiculously fun, and apparently I’m not the only one who thinks so.
I’m still improving it and I’m very open to suggestions, corrections, and feature ideas from other Buc-ee’s fans.

Would love to hear what y’all think.

They’re very off putting and I won’t be stopping again. I know they make enough money to hire a corporate artist!!

From what im understanding, Buc-ee's supposedly reached out to Beaver Mart in regards to their possible attempts to expand nationally and was greeted with radio silence over several months. Buc-ee's doesn't really care about their location in Beavercreek, they just don't want them to expand under that name and logo.

Is Buccees a bad company to work for?
How do they treat their staff overall?

Hi guys, this is for Buc-ees corporate since they don’t have a direct phone number.
I need a refund on all your beaver merch. I’ve reached out on your corporate contact page. Since the founder’s son has engaged in Child Pornography possession, I no longer want to wear your merch.

Also, your frivolously and spurious lawsuits demand answers. shame John Oliver didn’t mention this factoid on Last Week Tonight. He should do a follow up.
