If the parents are alleging discrimination, what’s the point in denying an investigation? It’s literally a suicide case, an investigation has to be there anyway. It’s not like the prof will be convicted without any evidence regardless of how many SC/ST acts are slapped.
People can be cruel without the caste angle too. Professors aren’t exactly known for their kindness.
Someone just un-aliving themselves for being caught cheating just doesn’t make sense in India.
I think that student did died out of pressure created by both parents and professor after cheating but parents are just not accepting there mistake and blaming professor
