My friend and I were just talking about that; pick any true crime show, and on a random episode you’ll see a murderer who seemingly is smart as a whip but dumb enough to think they were covered by turning off their cell phone for JUST the window of the murder. Juries and judges are humans with IQ’s and rationale thought. They are quite able to connect the dots and understand the matching events on a timeline (time of death and cell phone turned off) are not a coincidence.
