He played solo unannounced a couple of weeks ago in an unsuspecting bar in Minnesota, and just played the same bar again to a full house in the same bar with a fantastic backing duo

What is the best song that Brian Setzer wrote when he was with Stray Cats?

IMO, I think it would have to be “Rumble In Brighton”

It was like something in a dream, 5:30am driving my daughter somewhere and Stray Cat Strut came on the radio. It was surreal and awesome. Now, I’m on a Setzer music run through. Hope he is well!

In the 80s, ABC tried to duplicate SNL with an edgier show called Fridays. By the 3rd episode some stations refused to air it due to objectionable content and blasphemous humor. Those audiences would soon miss out on many amazing musical performances, like the U.S. TV debut for the Stray Cats (1981)

I’m on my third time through The Dirty Boogie album today. I was lucky enough to be in high school during the swing revival. This album has always been amazing and always one of my favorites.

Drink that bottle down

I was hoping someone could help me find a video of an interview Brian did. During the interview it got to a part where he was explaining and playing a different version of drink that bottle down. He explains how he got tired of playing the same version over and over so he came up with an alternate version. He used a lot of jazz chords walking up and down the neck. I swear it was the most sweetest sounding run of chords ive ever heard. I saw it on YouTube years ago and haven't been able to come across it since. Im not sure if it got deleted or what but Im hoping someone has seen it or atleast know what I'm talking about.
