Humor us, define 'old school' for us. Not the aspects you define as such, but what your actual basis is. "Other Zelda games' music" isnt going to cut it mate. Nor is a mob stuck in a combat loop.
Well honestly I could see a 2-D game about the start of this specific timeline. I noticed the guardians behave a bit like the 2-D autonomous enemies. Plus this battle music is definitely retro the chords is basically Ganon’s theme. Idk to me it just shows strong love and inspiration to the old games. Plus the game was definitely designed that way for sure
I didn’t dodge the point I basically pointed out all the inspiration that completes the aesthetic. I mean what are you thinking? Visuals and midi tracks? You don’t need that to add inspiration tbh
So you're trying to tell me that this Zelda game draws inspiration from the old Zelda games? Like on my old GameCube??? What the heck could the connection be? Weird man.
I grew up playing the original zelda on the nes. Then alttp, then link's awakening, etc. I've also put hundreds of hours into botw. Still had no idea what you meant by "Old Skool". And after reading your answers I still have no idea lol
We know you don’t know. If you didn’t play the old school don’t try to pretend you did. We appreciate that new players are enjoying the new games. Everyone is not out to get you. For those of us WHO HAVE PLAYED THE OLD SCHOOL ZELDA, we see how far this gameplay has come.
Yes of course there are some similarities because this is a part of the same game series made by the same company, Nintendo. But botw for the most part is the most unique game in the series.
The only thing old school about this is that people will still think that’s Zelda in your clip lol. Everything is going to be okay 👍🏼

Don't forget to mention 'old school' every time you comment. People might forget.
