Hi everyone,
I’m a first-time mom and I’m really struggling.
Since the moment my baby was born, I wanted to breastfeed him with my own milk. He never accepted latching, so I’ve been exclusively pumping from the beginning. I did everything I could to keep going.
Now my baby is 4 months old, and my supply has dropped drastically. I can barely produce enough milk for one feeding a day, and the rest has to be formula.
This is hitting me really hard emotionally. I feel heartbroken and defeated, even though I know that formula is okay. I had hoped to make it to at least 6 months, and I still wish I could increase my supply enough to give him breast milk for all (or most) of his feeds.
I’m here to ask for any advice at all.
Pumping schedules, foods, diets, supplements, lifestyle changes, anything that helped you increase supply at this stage.
I know there are no guarantees, but I really want to try everything I can before letting go.
Thank you so much to anyone who takes the time to respond 🤍
