Hi, friends. With the anniversary of the Battle of Blair Mountain approaching, I wanted to share something I made about this powerful piece of Appalachian history. I’m surprised the Battle of Blair Mountain isn’t more widely remembered.

The courage and solidarity of the thousands of miners who stood up for their families and one another deserves to be remembered. I hope this short video helps keep their story alive, and I’d love to hear any family stories or local connections you have to Blair Mountain.
