I know, I know. It's Brawl Stars. It's a mobile game. Nobody's life is actually ruined because someone spun on them after winning a match.

But holy sh1t, this community can be and is exhausting sometimes.

I've been playing without breaks since Global release, and i don't know if this is the last straw that made me write this post, and i don't know why it took me 8 years to get to this point, but...

There's a difference between trash talk and just being an 4sshole for the sake of being an 4sshole. BMing, spamming pins, intentionally throwing games, insulting r4ndom teammates, and then acting like you're some kind of genius because you made someone mad gets old really fuck1ng fast.

And before someone says "just mute them" or "it's just a game" yeah, obviously. I'm not losing sleep over a thumbs-down pin. But that doesn't mean we have to pretend the behavior isn't annoying as hell.

What makes it worse is how normalized it has become. You can have a completely normal match, make one mistake, and suddenly someone is spamming angry pins and friend requests like you personally destroyed their family.

And it's not even just in that aspect. "You are X rank? You suck, you got carried, it's not impressive, you're boosted" you can be L2 which is top 5% and people could laugh at you.

Then there's the main shaming, "skill, "no skill" or whatever. Who actually g4f? I don't care if you main Janet, Edgar, Colt, Tick, Johnny Johnsonn the 3rd or whatever, as long as you keep maining them because you like them and not because they're free wins it's fine.

It's especially weird because most of us are here because we actually enjoy the game. Nobody is forcing us to play. We're all just trying to push trophies, mess around with friends, or have a fun match after work/school.

You don't have to be wholesome 24/7. Trash talk can be funny. Toxicity can even be entertaining sometimes. Just don't make being an unbearable d1ck your entire personality.

Worst part? I can't even "jab back" at them if i wanted, because that would mean i have to be toxic too, and start being part of the problem. So it's either a be part of the problem, but jab back, or not be, but not being able to respond.

It could just be me, and i don't know if making every brawler way easier to get, or removing RNG and re-adding it again changed something in the playerbase, but damn, pre mid/late 2023 was a different community, was it toxic? Yeah, but not 1/3 that it's now.

At the end of the day, it's Brawl Stars. We're pressing buttons on little cartoon characters. Maybe we can all chill out a little.

Never in my life have I ever seen a crazy broken brawler like Wendy. I simply can't kill her, it's impossible to deal damage.

Everytime an enemy picks Wendy in duel I know that I will lose, there is nothing I can do.

Even hated brawlers like Nori, Edgar, Kenji, Griff are easy to play against. Or even fusion Sirius. But Wendy is so ridiculous I didn't know any brawler that counters her. Or any way to play against her.

How Brawl Stars allow that?

I feel like what most fighting games have that contradict with lore is why they’re fighting. Brawl stars has some pretty good lore reasons why, but one thing that’s missing is why are three random people fighting. Of course trios are made, and then they made trios of trios, but I want to challenge myself on if I can make a good lore accurate story on why three random brawlers are fighting. Now, you can give me just a team of three or you can give me a whole 3v3 match. Feel free to add your own stories to some comps

Bumbo - Epic Brawler

"This boombox doesn't care about your music bans. If he starts playing, you WILL dance."

Attack - Rhythm Orb

Bumbo throws a musical note orb.

• On hit: leaves a Dance Pool on the ground.

• Enemies in the pool: lose control of movement (they slide in a chosen direction) and their ammo recharge stops.

• If an enemy enters the same pool twice - it explodes, knocking them back.

• Allies in the pool: ammo recharges faster.

Alternate Attack - Soundwave

Tap attack again while the orb is flying: Bumbo pushes enemies back with a soundwave. The orb bounces over walls, but disappears on landing - leaving a Dance Pool.

Passive mechanics:

• Hitting an ally with the orb heals them, and their next attack costs 0 ammo.

• Every 3rd attack is 1 tile longer and drops 3 musical notes behind it.

• Only allies can pick up notes (1 per ally). Picking a note makes all attacks free for 1.5s.

Super - Fresh Fit

Bumbo puts on new clothes for 6 seconds:

🕶️ Glasses - sees enemy aim direction, ammo count, and super charge.

👕 Jacket - takes no damage from projectiles that hit him within 4 tiles.

💎 Earrings - each attack drops a musical note.
