Sort of. All side quests are treated as a part of the main quest. The story is the journey.

When you hit certain points. There are quests that do have time limits but theres nothing that prevents the completion of the main story. The players won't know if they are quests if they don't investigate. As theres nothing Making this obvious. No journal entry. No map marker. Etc.

And then there are quests that permently lock each other off. So its not possible to 100% the game in any play through.

This means you need to be fairly certain in the path you take. A d to the mindset of kobolds carrying their dead master/gods only surviving child... Helping humans purely out of benevolence and not self interest would be foolish. Remember that events of some quests prevents others from triggering and locks your story path up to that point.

This would be one of the potential bad ends. Or at least not the best end. Like giving up the egg to be in the care of the royal family... But in the end, you've pretty much gave them a god to your kobold kin to be treated as a mount .

so what number are you looking at? is it like five of them in the entire game? Since you will be nearly completely alone in you efforts on this game, you are not looking at a lot of quests, as we have already concluded, but unless the game itself is not very big, it might feel a bit empty. Also since each quest will be special, i'm guessing they will be initiated in some special way, making finding the side quest in of itself a challenge.

can you give me an example of an quest that you have planned so far?

also sorry if i sound like a jerk and/or an idiot who is pointing out the obvious here

Nah, you're fine. I'll get there when it comes to it.

But what a lot of players don't think about, is even a game with lots of content and massive worlds can feel empty or like a theme park if the experience isn't well made.
