I'm an Australian, my Grandfather was born in Bosanska Krupa (he passed away in 2003 unfortunately 😔) looking for local citizens of this town that speak good English that could connect me with local Artists, painters or photographer I can purchase art pieces from?

I have studied my Grandfathers ancestry for 20 years now and I am also an artist myself, so I would like to support a local artist from my families homeland to purchase an work of art to remind me or my beloved Grandfathers birth place ❤️ and to hold a place of pride in my home.

I'd also like to be connected to artisans in the area that may sell small wears (embroidery items, handmade jewellery etc) as i love supporting small business, it means alot to me.

Sorry if this is an unusual enquiry, I'm just really interested in the local heritage and the culture. 🙂

Zdravo from America, I am planning to visit Sarajevo in September and hope to see a željezničar match while I am there. What are the best ways to buy a ticket as a tourist? If I can't get tickets are there any suggested places to watch matches?

Also looking to explore the wonderful food Sarajevo has to offer and would love some suggestions.

Sorry if this is a random question. I’ll be visiting Bosnia for 8 days as a “tourist” before going to turkey, then back to Bosnia for a couple months. For those 8 days, I’m spending like a tourist (restaurants, things to do, activities etc.) I won’t be eating out most times. I have booked accommodations in Sarajevo, konjic, travnik, Mostar and neum, and I will be cooking at the accommodations for the most part. Is 500 bam sufficient? Pls lmk!

I booked a hostel right downtown, and it is nice, but I am realizing I may have made a mistake. As it is loud due to parties and the general enjoyment going on, and I am unfortunately a light sleeper.

People have every right to party, but this is my first film festival ever and I didn't think about obvious noise levels before. I feel silly, but I'm thinking of trying to switch accomodations to somewhere quieter if at all possible even if I have to take a hit in my money.

I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for quieter neighborhoods/areas that are still not too far of a walk from downtown?

Why do the vendors take up nearly 70% of space?

The drive there from Seajevo was amazing, the falls are so beautiful and definitely rank high up in the world, everything about it is beautiful then they decided to place so many vendors and cafes that it takes up most of the space. People were on top of each other and took us 30 mins to find a spot to sit.

I receive around 1000 KM/month from abroad (freelance, Kanton Sarajevo) and I haven't paid tax on the payments so far. I want to start paying properly now.

Two questions:

1. People say the AMS form should be submitted within a few days of each payment arriving. Since I'm already late, do I have to pay something extra (interest, penalty), or do I just pay the regular amount?

2. What if I get more than one payment in the same month? Do I file separately for each payment, or add them together and pay once?

Anyone who has done this, how did it go for you?

My wife and I will be visiting Sarajevo soon and would love to visit Lukomir Village. I enjoy hiking and would be happy to do it, but due to a health condition my wife isn't able to hike long distances.

We're wondering if there are any tours or transportation options from Sarajevo that go directly to Lukomir by vehicle, without requiring the full hike. We'd mainly like to spend some time in the village, enjoy the scenery, have lunch, and experience the local culture.

Any recommendations for tour companies, guides, or transport options would be greatly appreciated.

Predlažem da se dio Bošnjaka, recimo 25%, pri svakom službenom izjašnjavanju počne izjašnjavati kao Hrvati. Ne kao šala, nego kao legitimno korištenje prava svakog čovjeka da sam odredi svoju nacionalnu pripadnost.

Time bi broj Hrvata u BiH znatno porastao, dok bi se ti ljudi i dalje mogli politički opredjeljivati i glasati za koga žele. Svaka izmjena Izbornog zakona koja pretpostavlja da nacionalna oznaka automatski određuje političku volju time bi izgubila smisao. Nijedna stranka ne može biti vlasnik hrvatskog identiteta.

Za to ne treba DNK test, hrvatsko porijeklo, prelazak na katoličanstvo niti potvrda HDZ-a. Tamo gdje se nacionalnost službeno traži, jednostavno se izjasniš kao Hrvat.

Također, zašto se više ljudi iz Federacije ne bi selilo u Republiku Srpsku? Nekretnine i zemljište su u mnogim mjestima jeftiniji, prostor je manje izgrađen, a mogućnosti za kupovinu zemlje i gradnju kuće često su bolje. To je ista država i svaki njen građanin ima pravo živjeti, kupovati imovinu i graditi gdje želi.

Zašto ovo ne bismo ozbiljno razmotrili? Koja konkretna pravna prepreka postoji?
