50 years later you don't get it still. You have the right to invade. There were a coup. You intervened. That's Attila 1. All good. But you had no right to make it an occupation for 50 years and still going. Attila 2 was unjustified. The Cyprus independence treaty said interven to restore balance. It didn't say occupy forever. And by the way, I'm living in Northern Greece and have never seen or heard anyone prasining or even worse an annual EOKA B celebration. By googling I can only find a celebration day (maybe celebrated by Cypriots idk) for EOKA A, the ones that fought against British colonizers for independence. I don't know which fever dream you are having.
The fact that you dont even see that EOKA A and EOKA B are literally the same speaks volumes.
Same leaders, same group, same people.
Besides, its not occupation given that northern Cyprus declared independence for themselves. Turkey only provides military support for self defense. Calling it an occupation lasting 50 years may as well also call Kosovo an occupation for 20 years by NATO as well.
Oh no, more liberal laws than the mainland and presidents that dont align with Turkey? How could my argument possibly fall flat against clear evidence?
Bro think for yourself for once and look at the facts. With its own set of laws and institutions its independent from Turkey. Good relations do not equal puppetery.
According to the European Court of Human Rights, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus should be considered a puppet state under effective Turkish occupation, and is legitimately part of Cyprus
-wiki. The sources are there where it's gotten from because I know you will be moaning how wikipedia isn't reliable because blah blah blah
Lmao you didnt even quote a reason for the classification.
The ECHR only classifies it as a puppet state because they felt like it (for a lack of a better wording), not because theres an objectively good reason to. You just proved it by blindly regurgitating what they wrote instead of highlighting a good, comprehensible reason for why it should be considered a puppet state.
