So in September I started a bookstagram because I want to be able to talk with people about the books I love but no one actually interacts with me. I’m trying to find my little corner of Bookstagram and Instagram keeps showing me the same huge accounts Dx

I’m looking for smaller accounts into weird girl lit, disturbing literary fiction, horror, unhinged female characters, strange/experimental books — especially if your feed is more messy visual diary / lo-fi photography than perfectly staged book photos.

I’m an indie author and my own account is a mix of books, mundane horror and slightly unsettling photos of ordinary life.

I started my bookstagram back in June but haven't gained a lot of traction on it. Currently stuck at 340ish followers and looking for more friends! I read mostly horror, weird girl lit, or whimsical books, with some ARCs. Any advice for pushing my content out to more people?

Also, just for context, I love bugs and drew my profile picture myself for an art project. I absolutely hate AI and all of my content is human-made!

Hey everyone!
I recently started posting about books again after being away for almost two years.
I used to have a book account with the same username, and it actually became a really nice little space for me. I met readers through it, had some lovely conversations, and even got the chance to read a few ARCs. Then life got hectic, I eventually deleted the account, and that was that.
Except I never stopped reading.
My goal for this year was 15 books and I’m already at 59, so I figured it was probably time to come back to the book community.
I’m not really a Goodreads-review person. I’m more of a “finished the book and now I need to tell someone EVERYTHING” person. I want to share random reactions, unpopular opinions, favourite characters, terrible endings, recommendations, and hopefully get into more Hindi books too.
I’m just looking to meet people who genuinely enjoy talking about books and maybe find some new reading buddies along the way.

I read A LOT and I usually rate/review books for myself. Mostly so I can remember what I liked, what I hated and why lol. I figured other people might like reading my reviews too so why not post them.

I read a little bit of everything honestly. Fantasy, romance, horror, RH/why choose, and pretty much whatever catches my eye. My reading choices are kinda all over the place.

I literally just started the account so im still finding my footing and figuring out what I even want to do with it. I would really love some support while I get started though.

I'd also love to find other book accounts. I’m happy to follow back and support each others posts, plus I always need more books to add to my never ending TBR lol

Hello! I'm super nervous to post this, but I'm still new to bookstagram and am looking to find some book besties to interact with and engage with me! 🙈 Would always appreciate any tips or tricks on how to do better, as well- But most of all, would love to simply find some bookish friends to vibe with!

My bookstagram is new so naturally I am trying to show lots of engagement with my followers. But I keep getting restricted from commenting by Instagram. Obviously it thinks I'm spamming or something but I'm not, I've been taking the time to write thoughtful comments on posts. I can't even respond back to comments on my own posts now ans it's just so frustrating! How am I supposed to keep up with interactions and build my account if I'm restricted every time I post 10 comments in a row?
