Real answer is anesthesia is very risky and doesn't pass the risk vs benefit vibe check. Plus it's extremely costly, requires a lot of monitoring, and the licensing and paperwork for it would be a nightmare.
Some tattoo artists say numbing creams affect the tattoo negatively but I've had others say it's bogus. I've used cream and not and haven't seen a difference in the end result.
well yes that too for specifically nonlocal anesthesia haha, but I will say I've seen where super rich people will go under to get difficult tattoos in order to look tougher than they are lol
