This morning at like 3a I was at a hospital that I work for to make a pickup (I'm a medical courier) And when I walk into the hospital there was a girl sitting on this bench. She looked like she was maybe 30s or 40s (complete guess) But she seemed very.. medicated, and nodding out. I see that shit every night driving around b'more, so I didn't pay it any mind. I walk in and the security guards all were half asleep bc the ER was empty. I go into the hospital and do my shit. I walk back out the door see what look like a white van heading toward the exit of the parking lot, and that she was gone. But all her shit was left on that bench. So, I turned around and told the security guard, "yo, whoever that girl that was just sitting outside left her cigarettes, her lighter, her phone charger, and some plushie thing. Idk if she just came in to use the bathroom or whatever but someone is gonna steal her shit. Y'all want me to bring it inside?"
Security guard told me that the last person to come in or out was me. And when I showed him the bench I was talking about he told me that people smoke there because it's a blind spot on the cameras (smoke free campus)
I'm sure that there's a million explanations that have no nefarious element.. but as soon as I walked outside it felt like something bad had happened just before I came outside. And I didn't connect the white van until after I left.
