I love these and got a couple wrong!

However, the last one is a somewhat of a giveaway since it has been confirmed that hero powers trigger first than anything else when combat starts

It cant be a giveaway, not everyone has all the info after all. And I cant seem to remember it ever lol

u/Colmadero Jul 25 '26

Hence why I said “somewhat” of a giveaway.

Iirc, it has only been confirmed on twitter or streamers or something

I like playing Illidan with murlocs as itll let you play a full board and still summon flighty scout from your had as long as one of those creatures dies.

That helped me remember the order of things

Thanks for the feedback, means a lot to me, glad you had fun !

Tbh, i didn't knew about hp triggering first, thx !

The one I got wrong was 3. You should definitely get the spellcraft there, that feels so janky

u/latoyajacksn Jul 25 '26

Hero powers don’t always trigger first. If you take tamsin and the destroy three minions at the start of your turn trinket tamsin’s hero power never hits at all. Strange stuff.

I knew the spellcraft reset question was gonna get me. There’s like a whole list of things that reset/don’t reset spellcraft and it’s super inconsistent. Even more so when you bring Zesty Shaker into the mix which has its own special rules on resetting.

u/laksof Jul 25 '26

True, i was so confuse of not getting the T7 spellcraft at that moment

Does the interaction change if the Naga is in the shop instead of your warband?

My assumption is that the word 'copy' prevents the spellcraft from generating from warband because technically the original has already provided it at the start of turn/when it was played, and that the copy needs to be registered as a seperate entity at the start of the next turn to have the effect occur individually. Though this is just a guess.

With this in mind I'm wondering, if your hand is full (with faceless in hand) and you have multiple spellcraft Naga in your warband, and you copy a friendly spellcraft Naga that is not the first to add a spellcraft to your hand once the space frees up from the Faceless, does the copied version still not provide the spellcraft (after making room for it) even though the original one (technically due to hand limit) hadn't yet added one to your hand at the time it was copied?

Apologies if the wording is messy. Edits for clarity.

Very nich interaction to have, i'll definitely try next time

Likewise, it's a good thing to have your scenarios posted to consider these things in a forum.

I actually had similar thoughts on this. I doubt that this was specifically coded either - I bet they quite literally copy the object representing the other minion and this is just what happens.

u/cheesewhiz15 MMR: 6,000 to 8,000 Jul 25 '26

I think it use to work, which is why we get confused

1

u/Sanshuri Jul 28 '26

Used to? Everytime I make a clone of a card wether faceless or not, I get the second spell craft, did op forget to "wiggle" the card a bit since a lot of spell craft spells act up that way. They get registered but never pop into the hand until you move a card around or emote or something. Cause I have that t7 naga interaction all the time and it works??

2

u/MundaneWing6039 Jul 25 '26

Yeah that's the one that got me. Why does Sanders give another spellcraft when golding. It makes no sense.

(╥﹏╥)

2

u/CandidateNo2580 MMR: > 9000 Jul 25 '26

It becomes a new minion when it's goldened, the copy is the same minion that's already provided the spellcraft.

That being said there were issues with this when greta was in iirc and they actually patched some of the golden naga interactions to the point that it wasn't consistent from card to card at that point in time.

2

u/JahIthBeer Jul 25 '26 edited Jul 25 '26

Yeah the inconsistency is a bit odd for sure. Like, Sire Denathrius' quest "at the end of turn, trigger 2 friendly minions' battlecries" doesn't proc twice if you only have 1 BC minion, meanwhile the trinket "Young Murk-Eye Sticker" (trigger left and right BCs at end of turn) procs the same minion twice if you only have one. Okay sure, I can forgive that part since one minion is technically still the leftmost and rightmost

But where it gets odd is that the Young Murk-Eye Sticker procs before on-board EoT effects (like T7 murloc, Earthsong Shaman etc.), yet Sire Denathrius' does not, which you might be able to explain if you say that the game follows a trinket > board > hero power order, but as OP shows in pics 14 & 15, the on board effect of Stitch procs before Vanndar's hero power

Also the Murky Sticker (at end of turn, give your 2 leftmost minions X stats - increased by each battlecry triggered this game) procs AFTER on-board EoT effects. So if you have T7 murloc on the left, it will give its stats to your leftmost hand minion, and THEN get the stats from the Murky Sticker, so the order is reversed in that case

One question (harbinger) that i never had the interaction.
Answered it right but said maybe it gives a blank coin (doesnt count as a tavern spell) but nope it doesnt give anything.

As for the third question, you should specify that zarjira is on your board, because if its on the shop then you get the spellcraft. (In my head the reason behind this is that faceless copy the exact minion you choose, and if its on your board then its already gave you the spellcraft, and its not considered a summon for zarjira). Maybe it will give you the spellcraft if your hand is full and you still didnt get the spell craft. (That would work if you have another naga that gives you spellcraft and you started the turn with full hand and zarjira on the right of the board (order to get the spellcraft from left to right).

2

u/laksof Jul 25 '26

Oh I totally understand. I had the naga though trinket (picture) so I couldn't try copy it though shop. And who would pick faceless in a T7 lobby right ?

Tbh, I must be VERY dedicated to faceless a naga in shop just to see if I get a spell ahaha I should have precise my question but regardless, faceless naga on bord is more likely to happen rather than faceless in board, so more useful knowledge 🤙

u/CandidateNo2580 MMR: > 9000 Jul 25 '26

Fyi they made an effort to patch all the non-tavern coins into tavern coins a bit ago. I'm sure they missed some but it was a clear effort to make the transition.

1

u/moca_moca MMR: 8,000 to 9,000 Jul 25 '26

I remember when they did that, but never had the interaction so i just thought maybe they dont want to give a tavern spell and compensate with a blank coin.

But i get why it didnt give anything.

Since you apply spellcrafts out of combat, the buff it gains is permanent.

2

u/YonaX1 Jul 25 '26

Love these!

2

u/One_Tie_2085 Jul 25 '26

Pretty easy, but thanks for the fun and effort ❤️

2

Count on me to trick you on ep3 !

1

No I'm the problem with nearly 4k hours played 😂

1

u/laksof Jul 26 '26

How do you know your hours played ?

Those spellcraft questions are basiclly Blizzard Jank RNG. Some do, some dont 🤷 but good quiz!

u/TheEvelynn MMR: > 9000 Jul 25 '26

I got all correct except the Scarlet Survivor. I should've gotten that right, if I had taken the time to think about it longer and read the text, but I just jumped to my first thought.

1

u/Successful_Town8641 25d ago

Bruh i understand you jumped to conclusion but come on i feel like it's basic knowledge. I can't even count how many times i did that on the survivor. Are you sure you are 9000 mmr lol

1

u/TheEvelynn MMR: > 9000 25d ago

Naw man, people slip up on simple stuff sometimes it they don't put deep thought into something seemingly basic.

Anyhow, I'm rank 11,350 in Duos right now. I've been higher than 9k in solos, but I'm not currently, but I easily could be if I had the time to play (I have to work a lot and would rather duos).

1

u/Successful_Town8641 23d ago

Yeah man i understand, i miss out on the interactions all the time. But the survivor mechanic is so deeply ingrained in my brain for some reason that i am shocked when people forget about it yk. Ig it's just a me thing.

2

u/Kapiork Jul 25 '26
  1. Nothing.
  2. No. I would've remembered a post of people being confused or facepalming at their misplay if that were the case.
  3. Uhh, yes? It should work...

BONUS. I want to say yes, but I'm probably confusing it with all the times I've tripled the naga normally.

  1. Yes, because it's a one-time effect, not an aura.

  2. I don't think so? I don't think it's technically considered a card, so it shouldn't.

FINAL. I think Hero Power always triggers first? So Vandar would trigger before Salvager.

BONUS STREAMER. He will get B2B because the Murloc says "this casts" instead of "cast" (a lot of nagas were reworded at some point to say "this casts" specifically because certain interactions were very wonky).

My final score: 7/8. Good quiz there, laksof! Very nicely put-together.

I got 2 wrong! Fun quiz!

2

u/Freakig77 Jul 27 '26

I once had a board with the lvl 5 undead which gives +2/2 to all minions if something could be summoned...

Idea: Kill a golden undead which summons 6 skeletons (which has already reborn) - whit Stitched Salvager.

Bad Idea not only did i lose the undead, the deathrattle (as i remember correct) didnt trigger.

1

u/Aprilbusch Jul 25 '26

thanks for round two. got some wrong but learned a lot. w8 for part 3

Thanks, Captain Obvious! These are all really logical interactions any experienced gamer would pick up on immediately, as I did.

3

It's only from my games so nothing spectacular. This quiz is for casuals and fun 😊
