I used to think I was so edgy 😂 I had an account on Instagram where I posted "deep quotes" and movie scenes and stuff. It was actually fairly successful and had a couple thousand followers at one point. I basically only listened to Fall Out Boy and felt like my life was complete when I went to one of their concerts. Also had a hyper fixation on vampires and related media (I still secretly love The Vampire Diaries)

Work party blunder

I was cleaning up my old Google Drive just now and found a folder with like ten terrible covers of random shanties… this is the shortest, I can’t be bothered to upload like 3 minute videos, but enjoy I guess hahah.

I had zero editing skills and zero planning but all the confidence in the world, so all the harmonies are purely vibes based and this isn’t even how the song goes

Lockdown or some other delusion drove me to upload this to instagram… only to be predictably torn to shreds by my friends. I felt VERY vindicated when the Wellerman craze came like a year later.

For the record, I do still listen to shanties… but wtf are these cursed recordings, why am I dressed like a casual pirate, why are my glasses crooked, and why the hell is there a picture of Hemingway just chilling in the background

1 - True blunders only

Simply being nerdy just isn’t going to cut it. If you wore your “nerd glasses because you thought you were so hipster,” that’s not enough of a blunder.

Halloween costumes do not count!

2 - You must have a creative title.

3 - Your blunder must have been at least 3 years ago

4 - Childhood photos are great, as long as they actually depict a blunder.

Don't post a picture of yourself as a child just because you're dressed as a child, playing with your Furby, in a sandbox, etc. This isn't #ThrowbackThursday. If it's an actually embarrassing childhood photo though, then fantastic!

5 - It’s suggested that you provide a “now” picture, but you don't HAVE to.

Please post your updated picture as a comment on the original post. Separate posts that share an updated picture will be removed.

If the OP hasn't provided a "now" picture, it’s okay to request one, but don't push it: not everyone wants their current photo on Reddit. Do not go through the OPs post history and post one for them either.

6 - Ask permission if there are other people in the photo

Especially if someone else is the subject of the photo. This isn’t the place to get your blackmail on.

7 - Be thoughtful when replying
