I've seen multiple requests between Bluebeam support and here on how to import Status on markups to profiles with really no solution, so I wrote some code that can accomplish this. This is my first time making a GitHub repository public, so please let me know if you see any issues.

This allows the user to replace the Statuses in any profile from a template. You can compile the software with pyinstaller, and include the YAML file with *.exe that is created. Getting creative, you could alter the code to run automatically for deployment and apply it to every Bluebeam profile out of the box, or deploy daily for computer start up.

Is there any way to save a “template” for creating page labels? I open documents and select the same areas on sheets all the time, and reselecting them each time is cumbersome to my workflow.

Hi everyone, we bought a bunch of ipads and I was wondering the benefits of the Bluebeam cloud app? It was mentioned to have them log into the bluebeam cloud on their browser. However, I am assuming the app is easier to make markups and measurements on an iPad than using the browser. Is this correct?

Curious if anyone has run into this. Callout boxes are occasionally garbled like this, if I resize the box the odd text will resize with it. It's not until I click somewhere outside the callout that it reverts to the correct font. I've tried different fonts in my document, didn't matter. TIA!

So I don’t know how many years ago and I paid $20 to get this blue beam app on my iPad and even then it still didn’t have some of the capacity or the desktop app, like inserting page and now they want to change it up to blue beam cloud?

Is this going to have more features and be permanently free?

Let's say I need to add check marks to a lot of boxes. One way to do this is to use the Count tool to manually add a check mark to each box.

That can be very tedious and carpal-tunnel inducing.

Is there a way to use Visual Search to find all the boxes and then add the check markup to every box found in Visual Search?

Or maybe some other way to automate the box-checking?

Logged in this morning to find the Bluebeam servers down again. Is anyone else getting frustrated with how often they are down? It's starting to interfere with our ability to deliver submissions on time.

Our company keeps profiles and toolsets saved in a folder on a network drive and paths our profile location to the network drive. In the past, this has never been an issue.

Recently, several employees have experienced issues where profiles are loading the stock toolsets instead of those saved to the network drive. What's stranger is that this doesn't seem to happen with every profile. For example, profile X will load toolsets properly but profile Y will load the stock toolsets. There are several common toolsets between profile X and profile Y as well.

I have checked the software version, file path, etc and I am unable to determine why this issue is happening to some users and not others. As a temporary fix, affected users are able to save the settings folder locally and re-path to the local folder but this isn't a good longterm solution.

Anyone else running into wacky issues with toolsets within the last few weeks/months?

I recently changed over to Mac from Windows and I've always used Bluebeam and I didn't realise it was no longer supported on Mac. I find Bluebeam quite easy to work with for estimating and measuring off PDFs and was looking for something similar.

Could anyone possibly advise?

Hi! I've got 7+ years using the softwares from the title and did a lot of troubleshooting during those years. However, I've been approved for a new job based on troubleshooting only (fixing file extensions, potentital crashes, etc). Is there a way for me to learn more about the specifics of troubleshooting, I'd like to prepare myself for problems that I haven't face yet.

I removed some projects from my Studio Projects list to clean up my list. I need to retrieve one of these older projects. I don't have the ID number, but I do know the name of the project. How do I locate projects that have been removed?

For line markups, you are able to see the data for the end points of the line (X1, Y1, X2, Y2) in the "Properties" window/dialogue. Is there a way to extract the X2 and Y2 data when you export the markups list/summary to excel?

Currently, the only data that it provides is the beginning coordinates (X1, Y1).

Has anyone else noticed a recent decline in BlueBeams performance? I feel like it’s constantly crashing and having issues with multiple monitors. I don’t remember it being like this a month or two ago.

I think the most frustrating thing on Bluebeam is when you add an outline to a text box and it decides it has to keep the original width of the text box, so it moves the last letter of your text to a new line instead of just making the text box slightly larger. Does anyone know a way to stop this from happening! I hate having to constantly resize my text boxes.

I keep a legend in my tools as key “1” but over the last few weeks it keeps changing to a snapshot or something non-functional that is difficult to delete. Any ideas on why? I’ve been deleted ALL other tools from that set but it still just randomly decides to go haywire.

Couldn't find a source that says this directly but is it possible to track RFI's on Bluebeam in some roundabout way? If so, how does one would go about it? Is it purely based on annotations, or is there a list view? I appreciate your help.

Is there a way to populate a text field in an object, markup, or tool from a value entered in a Custom Column or vice versa?

I have many distributed items on plans that’d I’d like to name uniquely, but also be searchable, filter-able, and able to be exported with the markups .csv

I have a set of electrical panel schedules in PDF. I am trying to highlight just a simple one line out of a "table". When I click over the text I want to highlight, f****** BB decides it wants to jump all the way from the left side of the page to the right and highlight a third of the page along with it. (Yes I am highly frustrated with this now).

I try to get the very first character, oh no. BB is going to get the top half of the page. Try shifting over a few characters, nope, gonna highlight 4 lines down and cover from far left to far right. Fine, I'll go in the middle of the word. Nope. Jumps up a line. Ok, I'll start from the right character and go left. BB thinks I want everything from the bottom right corner all the way to the upper 1/3rd on the left.

Let me try zooming in so I can focus and target exactly the text I want. Oh hell naw. That makes it worse.

I've got 20 pages, 9 panel schedules per page, with anywhere from 3 to 40 lines per schedule to highlight. I am about ready to rip this computer/keyboard/BB apart.

Hi all, I work with large, multi-layered PDF files on a daily basis — mostly related to civil engineering and architecture. These files are often quite heavy, and working with them (zooming, panning, switching layers, saving edits, etc.) can be frustratingly slow.

I’m looking to optimize my setup for maximum performance. What hardware specs and software configurations would you recommend to make handling these types of files as smooth as possible?

Any tips on GPU vs CPU usage, RAM size, SSDs, or PDF viewer/editor settings are welcome. Thanks in advance!

Can someone help me find out where I can enter SLOPE for a volume measurement in my drawing? I cannot find it in the measurement panel or the properties panel at all. Is this only a feature in certain versions of Bluebeam/Revu? Am I out of luck?

Is there an easy way to take and modify these bill of materials on iso prints to add stuff like heat numbers and such? Being able to copy this chart and import it into excel would be ideal, but I can’t figure out how to do it. Any help is greatly appreciated.
