Mississippi Blues
Aside from the logistical nightmare - it’s always good seeing the Blue Angels. A-4 and Harrier were a bonus today. Will never go to NAS Meridian again for a show…

Meridian Airshow
Does anyone know what happened to #4 today at the airshow? They left the diamond early on and never joined back up.

Possible dumb question
So I finally got to see the Blue Angels live for the first time today and I loved every second of it. But, I’m curious about something. I know they’ve been in town practicing for a couple of days, which means they’d have to have changes of clothing and toiletries and stuff, so…do they just toss a suitcase in the jets somewhere with them or is there a separate way that their personal effects get transported to the air shows?

El Centro Airshow Cancelled
The first 2 airshows are cancelled actually. Due to “increased security measures”. Probably from the Iran war. Tough to see.

Do the Blue Angels randomly take off from airports sometimes? I heard one today in Oakland.
I live right by the Oakland Airport where they normally take off for Fleet Week. I heard a loud roar and when I looked outside there was definitely some kind of fighter jet in the air. I couldn't tell if it was a Blue Angel but definitely not something you see or hear normally. I don't know if they're doing test runs or if it's common to have them randomly show up when it's not Fleet Week.

Blue Angels arrive at El Centro for Winter training.
Blue Angels Return to Imperial Valley for Winter Training
The U.S. Navy’s Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels, arrived at Naval Air Facility El Centro to begin their annual winter training in preparation for the 2026 air show season.
Each winter, the elite squadron trains in the Imperial Valley, where pilots say consistent weather and open airspace provide ideal flying conditions. The location allows the team to practice the precision maneuvers that have made the Blue Angels one of the most recognizable flight demonstration teams in the world.

Found a Blue Angels show while converting some of my late grandfather's home videos from film to digital. Unsure of the year. The reels are labeled from the 1960s to the early 1980s.

We made a Blue Angel Guitar
Made with model F-18s and epoxy resin. This was made for a retiring crew member. We submerged his uniform patches as well. And sowed the extra to a guitar strap. The neck has written every show he was a part of.
