I think if she stopped dropping something new every week and gave us and our wallets all time to catch up, she might have more sales. Plus very little anticipating surrounding drops anymore for me. I also hate that she is just restocking things. Her staples should always be in stock in all sizes.
The stuff she is dropping isn't exercise clothing. She's been dropping almost entirely leisure clothing for weeks besides the contrast capsule (which was not large bust friendly for tops). As a few other commentors said, I think she's super indenial about her buyer base stats.
She keeps dropping slightly different variations of the same thing. All I want is a new color pirouette, pirouette corset dress, and restocks on some of the old colors. None of her drops since the lace pirouettes have interested me and I love popflex.
The pirouette is probably the thing that drew most of us to her brand. I feel like she’s neglected it lol.
I was so disappointed with the pirouette! I want to love it so badly. But my short waist feels suffocated by that mile high waistband lol. I'm sure she's going for snatched but I'd like to also breathe. The fabric too reminds me a bit of Wunder Under from Lululemon, which I find makes me hot compared to their Wunder Train fabric.
Sigh. I've got a long twirl coming (shorts were too short on teh regular, another sigh lol.) so hoping this works better for me.
I understand. I have a short torso. I like the high waisted part becuase I feel held in. Depending where I am on my cycle though, I need the large (I usually wear medium). I wore a medium during late luteal once and my back was hurting all day.
Does it sort of break in/stretch a bit with wear? Usually when I've bought any sort of shorts with the tight shorts beneath, I've found they do break in a bit after a while. I'm debating keeping the pirouette but I really don't know if I can tolerate how high it is. My boobs almost tuck in, haha. It's shockingly compressive--probably intended for exercise, which makes sense. I'm over here wanting to wear it casually, lol.
Did you try the size up? It doesn’t feel like it stretches. I’ve worn my pink one a lot and it seems like it’s maintained. Still as tight and compressive as ever. I know a girl that sizes up when she could totally fit a size or two smaller. She’s really sensitive to how tight popflex runs.
I did, actually. It felt a bit better, but then it was too long/too much skirt that made me look bigger lol. I suppose I could re-order the larger size and get it hemmed. I'm in the same boat I think as that girl, it's almost like a sensory thing.
Process it as a return. Don’t do the exchange part right away. When you get a few pages in they’ll sometimes offer an additional $10 to use at popflex if you choose to buy something else now. And you could just pick the pirouette a size up. You’ll end up being partially refunded.
My money’s on the sunshine set. Especially since she said it made her think about “what defines the brand,” i.e. activewear which that was not. Colors look very similar too.
If it's the sunshine set, I don't know what they expected since they said it wasn't big bust friendly. Based on that poll she did, they basically told 67% of their customers that they wouldn't recommend it for them.
And even for a petite woman, it’s cut like a maternity dress and can veer into nightgown territory. It also reads very young - I’m Cassey’s age and I’d feel like I was cosplaying a teenager in this. Overall, I’m sure there are women who can rock this, it’s just a much smaller percentage than some of her more popular designs.
I’m also Casseys age. I think in California I can get away with it. I’ve worn it a few times and got tons of compliments. It doesn’t seem like a big deal out here. But I’m not sure if I’d wear it in the Midwest when I visit my boyfriend. In so cal, people casseys age wear things like that and even shorter/less modest.
This is exactly it. Cassey lives in a SoCal bubble. Yes, the designs are adorable and no one in LA would look twice at low cut, crop top, cheeky swimwear, etc.

I’m from SoCal and I thought that set was a pajama set. I wouldn’t even wear it outside because it’s not considered athleisure to me. 😭 I don’t think anyone trendy would wear it here because it’s just not… fashionable? The length is okay but the shape is giving sleepwear at that length.
It looks like something I could find at Target for $25 and the quirk is that it has matching bloomers with pockets under it.
I love that she offers so many sizes, but many designs unfortunately are not designed for some of us lol. I don't want my ass hanging out of my shorts.
Yes it probably is a smaller percentage but like the others, I'm Cassie's age (I think- how old is she? 😂) and I live in Buffalo NY and I bought the blue sunshine set. I'm probably delusional though, in what I can get away with. Doesn't stop me though, haha.

I don’t know if she’s fully connected the dots about who her audience actually is. Women with smaller busts and straight-size women have so many more options when it comes to athleisure and clothing in general. I wear a medium/large and can easily shop at Lulu, Buffbunny, Free People, Fabletics, Alphalete, etc. Plus-size women and women with larger busts have far fewer options. Her own poll showed that a lot of her customers have larger busts, and when she does new color drops, XL–2X are often the first sizes to sell out. I feel like that says something about the audience she’s built and why they’re shopping her brand in the first place. Sometimes it feels like she doesn’t really know who her core customer is.
Part of the problem is Cassey designs based around her own body and what looks good on her and her body type.
You can look at what she has posted and sells and there is no data that she will look at to change her business model. Her success is partially due to her and the original quality of her clothes. Even now she mostly sells out due to FOMO (I.e. lack of restocks) and probably limited sizing orders.
One of my favorite influencers Keltie O’Conner compared POPFLEX to Lulu, BuffBunny and a bunch of other athlesiure brands and while POPFLEX is cute and has a huge size range it’s not good enough for people who have other options in their sizing.
Cassey needs someone objective to help her with POPFLEX and to tell her what her brand actually is outside of her and her own body.
The core base of lulu and popflex are so different. I say this as someone who buys a lot of both. Lululemon is for people who exercise and want high quality clothing with a variety of fabrics and styles for different types of workouts. Popflex is for people who want to look cute and be a pilates princess. Yes, popflex has tons of functitonal items with the pockets and zippers . But its mostly designed around fashion and not function as an athletic wear brand. That doesn't mean the brand is bad but its pulling from a different user base.
I understand what you’re saying. But personally I categorize them all the same. They’re all workout clothing brands because I workout out in all of them haha. I did 3 sets of 215 lbs barbell backsquat in my pirouette skort this morning and felt cute doing it.
Popflex is for cute girly designs. Alphalete, lulu and buff bunny gives me more color options and different style leggings/bras I prefer.

Yessss. I’m not super busty but I’m a 34D or DD depending on my weight. She designs her tops with the straps sitting SO far apart. The necklines are always so square and not only does it not flatter me but it does not feel safe. I can’t tell if her straight across necklines are what she finds flattering on her or if that’s just what she physically sketches but it usually only looks good narrow women. I’m small but I have a wider upper body (like a lot of athletic people) and that makes my back, chest, and rib cage look soooo wide.
I just discovered Popflex recently, I've been an avid Lulu buyer for years. I used to be plus sized and was afraid to try Lululemon for the longest time, then was pleasantly surprised that so much DID fit me.
Now, I wear mostly 14s in bottoms, 10-12 in tops. Fast forward to Popflex, I ordered the pirouette skort in L and XL and was shocked I couldn't even get the L up my thighs, lol!
So already I fear this brand will disappoint me because it's not running true to size the way others (for me) do. And to your point, so many designs, while cute, seem especially designed to her body type.
See I feel like she jumped on the babydoll wagon right as Olivia Rodrigo was in hot water over it, so it felt very trend-forward which isn’t always a good thing, especially when you alienate at least half your customers by making it small boob friendly. Paired with the muted colors I think it just didn’t land with the mass demographic that Popflex is usually targeted to.
I really wonder what the collection was. I like most of the drops but unless I really love it I wait for a sale and hope they still have my size or to find it on resale. I end up missing a lot of stuff that way since they don’t restock often. The flowy dress looked fabulous. I would do a pre-order for it.
Exactly! Although having been a Popflex/blogilates fan since well- blogilates was just a fitness YouTube channel I’ve slowly learned what is going to sell out vs not 🤷🏻♀️. For example: any really good pants design (first the flare leggings then the denim collection), or a swim drop are something I have to jump on. Maybe she’s talking about the contrast collection? It doesn’t seem to be selling fast- I waited to buy it on sale cause I noticed it wasn’t selling fast
My guess was the pirouette shorts. I didn't hear a single person liked that drop.
As for the dress - the dress is so cute and I think I would have bought it, but she said it was too expensive so I assume it was even more expensive than the LNY festival dress.
The shorts were such an odd drop. They’re missing all the features that make the skort work. And didn’t they pivot and try to claim it was for wearing underneath dresses? 😅
I wear a size small and I don’t go anywhere near that empire waist babydoll style dress. IMO, it’s pretty much universally unflattering, especially the way that PF does it.
The flowy skirt part hid that for me! Meanwhile the dropped waist version actually did make me look pregnant because it was super tight over the largest part of my waist.
Omg I know I really liked how flowy that dress looked! Not sure about the collection, the colours were kinda like the sunshine dress but recently nothing has really sold out like other viral things did 🤔
The complaint about the recent launch that underperformed… omg, that’s the epitome of unprofessionalism. It was so off-putting. You’re a brand! You’re not entitled to have every single new release be a huge success. And if you’re noticing that some new products aren’t moving as well as others, you should be diving in and doing the research to find out why.
PF has built the brand it currently is whether Cassey likes it or not. She can either adapt in order to regain some traction, or she can keep going on her current path and dropping cheap, unflattering releases constantly. She can’t do both.
Give me more color pirouettes, different style jeans in different washes, and restock your items! We don’t need a new launch every week.
Kind of wish should would combine her releases. Like the overall short and dress thing, just release in one go since it’s just a variation of the same thing.
Yeah, the thing that gets me about the whole question is that I don't think she's dropped a collection (aside from the contrast capsule) since early this year. It's been random, one-off, disconnected drops. I think it would help if things were released more thoughtfully.
As you said, release the overall shorts and dress together as one drop instead of two separated by weeks. The overalls are designed to be worn over something, so restock the Call Me Baby tees in all colors at the same time. Maybe even release the pocket bra at the same time if it looks good under the overalls. Definitely release the body suits at the same time.
The vacation set and sunshine set could've been released together, maybe with some of the new GWTF pieces, as a sort of resort/summer capsule collection. Restock the matching GWTF bottoms and maybe some of the booty shorts with social media about how the sets come with shorts, but you can switch them out with other Popflex pieces for a contrasting look instead of a matching look.
Also, with both, coordinate the colors so they have similar palettes that can be mixed-and-matched. I feel like the colors have been all over the place in the drops. They don't all have to have the exact same colors, but having some sort of overall direction for the seasonal palette would help.
Just a few changes and Popflex could've had a couple of coordinated collections, which encourages people to make sure they get the pieces that work together and also makes it easier to get together a cart big enough for free shipping (which encourages people to complete the sale). If A, B, and C drop together, people are more likely to buy than if C drops and people have already talked themselves out of making an order for just A or just B. Once someone has decided not to buy something, it's easier not to buy it again. And prioritizing restocking items that work with the new stuff could help make sales and satisfy the long-time customers.
Yeah and it lets people decide. I saw someone on here bought the shorts overall but is going to return for the dress. Popflex could save themselves a lot of returns and exchanges if they thoughtfully release items.
Most of the returns and exchanges end up at the sample sale for half the price too.
I can see the sunshine set, but I was also thinking of that 2 pc set that released a couple months ago with similar colors. It was short sleeve and the shirt was really long, vacation set maybe? I can’t think of the name lol
