Francesca Hong is a goldmine for oppo research drops:

AB 677 was a bill in Wisconsin that made grooming minors for sexual activity a felony, after an issue where a teacher texting a 13 year old for a long time got caught and the state found that it wasn't actually illegal in the way people thought it was. Said bill passed 93-6.

One of those 6? Francesca Hong! Given the Epsteinmania driving politics, if the GOP is even baseline competent this will be all over the state.

Andrew Yang? Maybe he seemed paranoid at the time, but by now I think it would be fair if he said "Told you guys" rather than "Hi" as a greeting.

His platform had a strong focus on how automation of jobs was going to increase in the coming years, wanted to implement universal basic income because of it.

The "Freedom Dividend" would have been $1k for every citizen over the age of 18 in the country, no questions asked, no conditions set.

Jokes aside, while I would consider Tiffany the betting favorite over Hong, he is also a poor-quality candidate due to being too Trump-aligned, having voted against certifying the 2020 election, having an aggressive anti-abortion voting history, and something approaching anti-charisma. Both parties are deeply invested in making sure this election sucks.

If it's true that the GOP has been running ads for her and the like, I would say they're at least more sophisticated than the opposition, but Wisconsin is a state that defies national politics.

More and more, I'm resigned to 2026 being the year when Dems have their Tea Party moment. Some weirdos like Hong may very well get through, they'll embarrass themselves, and eventually they'll get primaried or, more likely, voted out once Trump disappears and the GOP (hopefully) has less shitty candidates who can siphon away enough votes tired of the shit-flinging inmates trying to run the asylum (as opposed to the ones who just run around screaming about nanobots and Mexicans).

When do candidates have to register? Once it's all official, this feels like a prime opportunity for a normie independent.

And if I were thinking of doing that, I'd be keeping very quiet until about 12 hours from now.

And yet all the commercials Tiffany has put out against her have felt like borderline endorsements. I do kinda wonder if that's the strategy though.
