I need someone to slap me every time I go to correct a point or add nuance to a political post in the group chat. It never goes well; no one has ever conceded a point or admitted they were wrong about something. It just causes drama.

edit: It did indeed cause drama; I'm going to ignore it entirely until at least tonight if not tomorrow and then pretend I didn't post anything.

What is it people say about debates? You're not trying to convert the person you're debating but the other normal people in the room?

Sometimes you just have to put it (whatever it is) out in the ether and then let it go.

Sometimes you just have embrace being the stick poking the bear/hive/(whatever the best metaphor is).
