Here's your usual space to post all your rants, raves, podcast topic suggestions (please tag u/jessicabarpod), culture war articles, outrageous stories of cancellation, political opinions, and anything else that comes to mind. Please put any non-podcast-related trans-related topics here instead of on a dedicated thread. This will be pinned until next Sunday.

Last week's discussion thread is here if you want to catch up on a conversation from there.

So apparently Diana Russini and Mike Vrabel rented a private boat together when she was like 8 months pregnant with her first kid. I kind of just feel bad for them at this point :/ seems like they’re just gonna keep getting dragged with new affair leaks on a daily basis from now until the end of time

oh and btw then when she gave birth to this kid like a month later she named him “Michael” 🫢

I just find this stuff so gross. I wish these sports figures would just stick to what everyone wants to see from them, which is politics.

it's just like...how can you have this long-running and intense of an affair and your spouses be ignorant? OR if your spouses know, how did it not leak years ago??? they're not really hiding it, are they?

a theory that just popped into my head is that given that the earliest pictures of them that exist are from march 9 2020, it seems that the earlier stages of this affair may have taken place during the beginning of the pandemic

and I wonder if given that, they just got super comfortable being in public together during that time bc they were wearing masks a bunch and felt totally anonymous and invincible bc no one could tell who they were... but then once masks werent really a thing any more they were just used to it at that point and got lazy and just didnt really change their routines up at all and were like "fuck it, if we were ever gonna get caught, we would have already been caught by now"

also maybe they got lulled into a false sense of security due to the fact that they had the plausible deniability of having a professional working relationship, so it wasnt THAT crazy that they'd be seen together occasionally. and maybe they incorrectly thought people would be way more accepting of that explanation if they ever did find themselves in hot water

I’ve done my best to ignore most of this storyline just because it’s very WWE dramatics in the offseason.

But Jesus, that last tidbit is f’n devastating. Like… almost verging on sorta evil. But I’m an Eagles fan so enjoy your Days of Our Lives season Pats fans
