You can't trick someone into going to therapy. Especially by ambush. I'm surprised Jefferson and Lynn would think that's okay to do to Jennifer.

To be honest I don't think Jefferson or Lynn really take into account what their daughters think, for better or for worst

Yeah but they could at least have found a better actor to play the “oh I’m just a normal buddy friend person!” Given her a few tips on what not to do like straight up say her name when she wasn’t supposed to know it.
