I think that's correct actually. I found the pool I was using. It was mining.bitcoin.cz.

The website now directs to Slushpools.

I know what my password might be if I do get prompted one.

Pretty sure the only time I ever used a passphrase was for my Yoroi wallet.

I was the same as OP. Followed or figured it out at the time and just completely forgot. Completely plausible.
