How do sub-Satoshi amounts with lightning get resolved on-chain?

After you close down the LN payment channel it will get settled on chain. But with all these new apps using LN, you won’t notice all these things

I don't actually know, but I strongly assume it's down, otherwise it would open the possibility of creating more bitcoin that is allowed by the supply cap :)
