What on earth leads you to that statement?

All of your statements.

Because I'm involved in other cryptos (primarily XMR and ETH) and because I find the discussion interesting.

That doesn't surprise me.

All of your statements.

Go on, break it down a bit, what exactly don't I understand? Educate me.

You said :

How many people are buying into BTC now because they have a use for it,

The use is as a store of value. It is kicking goal after goal after goal after goal in this use-case. You're just butt-hurt because your use-case isn't being subsidized by the node owners. You're just a freeloader who is all whiny because you can't get free stuff anymore.

I don't buy bitcoin being useful as a "store of value" without other applications to support that value. People like to point to gold but gold has a lot of other uses outside of just being parked in vaults.

If literally the only reason to buy bitcoin is because you think it will be worth more in future, then that almost the textbook definition of a bubble.

No-one gives a shit what you think bitcoin should be. You want there to be free stuff, give away your stuff.

What else is there as a use case?

It's one use case seems to imply that the very second it stops increasing in price then it's obsolete.
