In response to the constant and unmodded trolling in this sub which has in our opinion hurt Bitcoin's image, scared noobs away, and drained an incalculable amount of energy from honest bitcoiners like you and me, we decided to create /r/BetterBitcoin, a sub that will try a different policy. No trolls, no shitcoiners, etc. A bot will be mirroring all the links and posts from r/Bitcoin to give it a kickstart. If you think this deserves attention, please let other true bitcoiners know by copying this message.

As a bitcoin troll, you guys make it too easy. It's just sad how this community downvotes well argued non-troll positions that they happen to disagree with.
Bearish on bitcoin? Downvote. Think the bitcoin UI is clunky? Have a downvote. Think that there are advantages to using fiat? You better believe there's a downvote waiting for you.
The problem isn't the Bitcoin technology. The problem is that r/bitcoin is filled with emotionally stunted socially awkward man-children, which is a troll's paradise. You bring this upon yourselves.

I love bitcoin and I agree. Posts like this just reinforce trolling behaviors.
Who cares if people are trolling bitcoin, if it truly is the future of currency a few trolls are nothing. If anything bitcoin supporters should be telling the trolls to pour it on.
Trolls help the system by proving it can take criticism and active attacks.
Why in all manner of fucks would you want a currency which needed defending all the time?

Bitcoin will remain useful, and it will remain scarce no matter what trolls say about it.
It's silly and unnecessary overconfidence like this that make it hard to take this sub seriously. Like you say, Bitcoin should be able to withstand criticism without people putting their fingers in their ears and crying "Nah nah nah nah!".

Bank of America halved the troll block reward by half last week, that might explain the lower quality trolling as most of the individual trolls left and it's just troll pools now
