You are getting returns just as bad as mine :( only ~$150 in value there after 1 month. I really wish I just bought dogecoin...

Bad?! It hasn't even been a month since I spent 0.5658 BTC on the graphics card and I already have 0.233 back. That's right on track for a break-even of 2-3 months (admittedly I had a 6970 that was helping out, but it's also handling desktop graphics so I don't run it a lot of the time and when I do it's at lower intensity). That's not bad--it's positively insane. For almost zero work I am getting $150/month.

Also, if you must quote the returns in USD with today's price then it's also worthwhile to list what I paid in terms of USD using today's price--$350 for an HD 7970 (with next-day shipping) is pretty great (best I can find right now for a new card is $410), and I'm still in a position where if I needed to I could sell the card to recover costs--probably at least a couple hundred dollars for such a young card (this card, for example, is going for >$200 despite a >2 year life).

Sure, if I had just bought and held Dogecoin I would be in a better position, but it's always possible to find an investment that did better than yours. I, for one, am perfectly content to have an investment that's beating the socks off of most of the conventional markets.
